somebody just post that uscis cancel hes interview that hes was schedule on December 14 and hes case number start with NBC i getting worried now

Hi,

Don't be worried! My friend's interview was canceled but rescheduled to the late date because her file didn't get to the field office on time. I've read before. There are several reasons that field office will cancel the interview. Many canceled interviews are because the files didn't arrive the field office on time. I can see that though. It took a whole month for my file to get to Pittsburgh from NBC!

Hi,

My husband's interview is on December 15 and he has an NBC number too. Not cancelled so far and hopefully everything goes through smoothly!

Husband's Naturalization Journey: (NBC number)

9/2/16: N-400 mailed to Dallas office via UPS Ground
9/6/16: Arrived to office per UPS tracking
9/14/16: NOA1 received in mail (dated 9/6/16)
9/21/16: Biometrics notification received in mail
10/6/16: Biometrics completed
11/10/16: Notification for interview received in mail
12/15/16: Interview ("Recommended for approval")
12/20/16: In line for oath ceremony (online status)
12/27/16: Received oath ceremony letter in mail
1/17/17: Oath ceremony
Hubby is now a US citizen! :) 133 days from NOA date to Oath Ceremony

oh ok thanks, i just wish the us that have NBC numbers don't get involve in that mess that elis number is going thru right now .

You are welcome. Hopefully, we won't face those messy problems. But the files take at least 2-4 weeks to get from NBC to field office. I always suspect that NBC only transfer files 1-2 times a month to each field office. But I don't know for sure.

Besides, when my friend called 1-800 numbers then, they told her that field office scheduled the appointment. However, when she went in for infopass, the field office said NBC scheduled the appointment. I think they just threw each other under the bus and we don't know who schedule the appointment exactly. ????

Just got my interview letter in the mail tonight! Along with a bunch of cute Christmas presents I ordered for my son, so it was a good mail day ?

Anyway so online update: 12/1, notice date, 12/5, received on 12/8 and interview scheduled for January 10th, 2017 at 9.45 am.

Now I need to track down my passport since I need to bring it and it's been expired for forever and I haven't travelled internationally since 2009!

Also if it was same day oath, would it be mentioned on letter? The field office offers it and it's mentioned on their website?

Just wondering if it's prescheduled or a choice they give you on site...

Congratulations! Which is your FO? I know DC offer the same day oath but specifically for those who are expedited and those who take interviews for second times. If your FO is DC, you may be able to get same day oath if your interview is early in the morning (someone told me it has to be done before 10am- not sure if it's true) as well as they have spot available for you.

Looks like I should be getting my interview scheduled now, since my FP date is 10/07!

But, alas, that power to schedule does not lie within me :). So, will not worry!

If people with NBC receipt do get their interviews done in December, then maybe, NBC people are ok!

I just spoke to USCIS tier 2 this morning. Unfortunately he didn't have any update apart from the fact that I've done my fingerprinting and the process can take up to 12 months :( very disappointing to hear. I finished fingerprinting on 10/27. No change on USCIS website either.

I am! I am an August filer and unfortunately IOE so you will probably get your interview before me. My FP was on 9/6 and I haven't heard anything since. Boo.
