I read somewhere about these points and wondering if anyone can shed some light on this topic. Someone on this forum mentioned these words:

1) NVC case number processing

2) First two weeks or second two weeks of the month (cant remember which)

3) Waiting an extra month for case number just by when your case was received by the NVC

We received our NOA2 by email 08/30/16 and our hard copy a few days later beginning of September.

For all those who can help, thank you in advance

#1 NVC case number for USEM is what is referred to as the MNL# or case number. It's used throughout the process at the Embassy level.

#2 doesn't ring a bell with me.

#3 I'm not sure but I will take a stab at it. If you call NVC about 2-3 weeks after your receipt of the email indicating that you have passed then to avoid waiting another month for the MNL# that will be on the hard copy of the NOA2 that the petitioner receives in the mail you can call and get the number. This action will shave off about 30 days to your journey.

Further help and step by step insturctions can be found here http://tinyurl.com/ob9xoa8 Use the tab "NVC to USEM".

Next week, start calling the NVC every day until they give you your MNL case number. Once you have your MNL case number, you can schedule an embassy interview and complete the medical. Don't wait for your NOA from the NVC, and certainly don't wait for the U.S. Embassy Manila to contact you.

Thanks everyone. Hopefully they will have a case number soon. From peoples' timelines it appears that two weeks after NOA2 is the norm. But it's unclear if the NOA2 is the email or hard copy.

The email is notification that the action taken is complete on your application. NOA2 is a "hard copy" commonly refereed to as the NOA2. See an example of the NOA2 at my website here: http://dennyeyberg.wixsite.com/filipino-am-visa/noa-2

You can call them today. Our NOA2 is a day before you (08/29/2016) and they already received our packet as of today. I will definitely call them tomorrow for our MNL #. Most people are getting their MNL # a day or 2 after NVC received it. Good luck

Call this number: 603-334-0888 then if you hear the automated voice press 1. No waiting time for me though :)
