I belive 100% God is God. Its a win win situation if you belive and he's real you go to heaven, If you don't belive it's gonna suck. If it turns out he's not you've tried to live the best life possible and you die.

Don't know what Harry Potters got to do with it. I own all the book and Movies beleving doesn't mean you have no imagination. If you ever felt good about doing things for others you would know being good is not a waste of time ( everything comes back to bite you on the butt) is what they say and good comes back to you too.

I can do "good works" without the need for a "return" or a belief in an "eternal reward" for being a good guy. I would think that a favour or good deed from an Athiest would mean more than from a religious person.... an Athiest is doing it without any thought of it counting toward a heavenly balance sheet...

I didn't mean to do good deeds for heavenly gain only you asked why do good deeds?? And no matter your religion you shouldn't do something to get something in return it just make the world better if everyone tries to do good. Doing bad only helps others to do bad when doing good encourages others to also do good.
