Black people are regarded as less attractive across all platforms. It's not something new. I've posted a few threads about how black models have to be flawless in order to compete with just pretty white girls. How one person on a dating site said he'd date an alien from another planet before he dated a black woman, and the like.

As white, geeky, and as quintessentially British as possible, though he is slowly working on a tan now without turning into a flaming lobster.

It'd be interesting to know if they gave this a test run beforehand and what they came up with. If the results they came up with as a 'solution' weren't very impressive, this project would absolutely be embarrassing for them. Beauty is always going to be in the eye of the beholder, I'd think an algorithm would have a hard time at that. Face symmetry will only get you so far.
