We got approved :)

Theres nothing I have to do after Im approved at the window right? Just wait for the mail?

We have the same interview date congrats to us!! Hehehe yes just wait for the mail. Or you can check ceac from time to time.?

Hi guys.

I need some help. My fiancée submitted our application for k1. We still haven't had our nao2 and the service centre have had our reply to our rfe 90 days we call every week and get no joy. We request to talk to level 2. Who when they call are rude to my fiancée and then hang up without telling her anything. What do we do we're are now told to wait until the end of January to find out further news. When we don't have any now. This takes our application to 7 months at the end of January. Who can we contact is there a level 3. I was hoping for good news but yet again customer service is missing the word service. Please any help will be appreciated.

Im sorry to read this, i don't have idea what to do with your case but i hope you'll receive your noa2 by january.

Hi guys.

I need some help. My fiancée submitted our application for k1. We still haven't had our nao2 and the service centre have had our reply to our rfe 90 days we call every week and get no joy. I suggest that your fiancee contacts her local Congressman in the US and ask for help from them. This will bring more attention to your case since USCIS must reply to Congressional inquiries within a specific number of days. Sorry to hear that your fiance visa petition is delayed. It sounds that when USCIS did the name check on your petition a similar name appeared in their search that it is preventing the adjudicator from reviewing your case. Petitions that have names similar to those who are in the FBI Name Check Hit list will experience delays.

K1 Fiancee Visa Timeline

September 16, 2016- Submitted I-129F Petition

September 19, 2016- USPS delivered I-129F Petition to Lewisville, TX

September 21, 2016-Notice of Action Date from Paper notice

September 22, 2016-USCIS cashed our I129F petition fee payment and received text and email message confirming that our petition has been forwarded to the California Service Center for processing

September 26, 2016- Received NOA1 in the mail stating that our petition has been received by California Service Center and is in process
October 14, 2016- Checked USCIS application online and our case was approved. NOA2 will be mailed.

October 20,2016- Received NOA2 paper copy in the mail from the California Service Center indicating that our petition was approved and will be sent to the National Visa Center.

November 9, 2016- Called NVC and they confirmed that our approved I-129F petition has been received

November 14,2016- Called NVC and they confirmed that our approved I-129f petition was given a case number

November 15,2016- Checked the State Department Consular Electronic Application Center and our case is in transit to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City

November 17, 2016- Checked he State Department Consular Electronic Application Center and our case has been received by the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. It shows Ready with the following message: "case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section"

November 23, 2016- Received by email Packet 3 from the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City

November 25, 2016- Completed Packet 3 and send it to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City

December 1, 2016- Medical Examination Completed

December 1, 2016- Visa interview scheduled for Tuesday January 24, 2017

December 2, 2016- US Consulate changed my fiancee Duong's interview to Friday January 13, 2017

 

January 13, 2017- US Consulate gives my fiancee Duong a blue sheet requesting for more evidence.

January 20, 2017- My fiancee Duong and I returned to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and submitted requested evidence and received approval notification after waiting for 3.5 hours. :)

January 25, 2017- US Consulates issues my fiancee Duong's visa and sends it to her via EMS- local courier service in Vietnam. Due to Tet holiday my fiancee Duong will most locally received her passport and visa late next week.

Hello Everyone!

My fiance had his medical exam, thank goodness! Our interview date is Jan 8. Please keep us in your prayers. Anyone here had the interview and know what kind of questions to ask? We are really nervous!! We want it to go well and dont know what to expect really. We have all the documents and everything. Any feedback would be appreciated :)

On your Vaccination worksheet DS3025, did you have to provide the form? or did the doctor that gave the vaccinations automatically provide that form to you?

You should check out the reviews for your embassy. It usually says which questions people were asked! :)

My fiancee got approved this morning. Such a relief. I'll post the details of the review in the consulate area when I get back stateside. I leave tomorrow afternoon back to the states
