Pls does anyone have idea if i should send some required documents back to consulate after receiving packet 3.

Read the instructions in the packet. If they need any documents to be sent in to the consulate they will spell it out for you in the instructions.

Interview set for December 27th, and registered for the medical!

We'll try to do the medical on Dec 18 or 19th. Praying for a smooth medical so we can do our interview on time, while I'm there with my fiance.

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:

Hey VJ Family!

So here are the updates on my case:

1) NVC received my case and assigned number on 11/22/16

2) NVC sent out my documents to consulate today on 11/28/16

I havent received any letter yet from NVC not sure when that will come in?

Questions I have:

Do you guys know how long it takes for mail to be received usually internationally?

I need guidance on the next steps. I have my employment letter ready. How many pay stubs do I need? How many bank statements do I need for how many months? How many years of tax documents do I need?

When do I start filling out the DS form and do I need to send an original affidavit of support form to my fiance or can I scan and email it? When does my fiance set up the medical exam and interview?

I need a lot of guidance!! Thank You!

well for tax documents if your interviewing around march or april ull need your 2016 tax stuff , if not 2015 tax stuff will do , u also may want to get your 2013 , 2014 tax stuff just in case. Pay stubs and bank statements doesnt really matter how many just a few maybe 2-5 , anything over 6 is overkill, u can do the ds 160 when your case is intransit so you can start on that now and do the visa fee

NVC case now shows ready and is at the Vietnam consulate.

Congratulations Denis & San on this. Wish you the best of luck to you and your fiancee. My fiancee Duong is getting her medical examination completed on December 1st. After this is completed all that remains would be to gert her Justice Check from the Vinh Long authorities as well as her birth certificate. The Vinh Long authorities told her that these should be ready by this Friday or next Monday.

K1 Fiancee Visa Timeline

September 16, 2016- Submitted I-129F Petition

September 19, 2016- USPS delivered I-129F Petition to Lewisville, TX

September 21, 2016-Notice of Action Date from Paper notice

September 22, 2016-USCIS cashed our I129F petition fee payment and received text and email message confirming that our petition has been forwarded to the California Service Center for processing

September 26, 2016- Received NOA1 in the mail stating that our petition has been received by California Service Center and is in process
October 14, 2016- Checked USCIS application online and our case was approved. NOA2 will be mailed.

October 20,2016- Received NOA2 paper copy in the mail from the California Service Center indicating that our petition was approved and will be sent to the National Visa Center.

November 9, 2016- Called NVC and they confirmed that our approved I-129F petition has been received

November 14,2016- Called NVC and they confirmed that our approved I-129f petition was given a case number

November 15,2016- Checked the State Department Consular Electronic Application Center and our case is in transit to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City

November 17, 2016- Checked he State Department Consular Electronic Application Center and our case has been received by the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. It shows Ready with the following message: "case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section"

November 23, 2016- Received by email Packet 3 from the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City

November 25, 2016- Completed Packet 3 and send it to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City

December 1, 2016- Medical Examination Completed

December 1, 2016- Visa interview scheduled for Tuesday January 24, 2017

December 2, 2016- US Consulate changed my fiancee Duong's interview to Friday January 13, 2017

 

January 13, 2017- US Consulate gives my fiancee Duong a blue sheet requesting for more evidence.

January 20, 2017- My fiancee Duong and I returned to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and submitted requested evidence and received approval notification after waiting for 3.5 hours. :)

January 25, 2017- US Consulates issues my fiancee Duong's visa and sends it to her via EMS- local courier service in Vietnam. Due to Tet holiday my fiancee Duong will most locally received her passport and visa late next week.

The embassy will send you information on what to do next. You could also check out the regional discussion here on visajourney for embassy specific info. The DS-160 takes a couple of hours.

For the affidavit of support form : what should be included for pesonal property section? Everything you own like a car ? And the amounts? And for the deposits in savings account, what if I don't have a savings account?
