Got to reschedule my interview for when my fiance is here! :) Does anyone know if there is a benefit or otherwise to him coming with me? How do you request it?

Medical went off without a hitch! Fees are paid, DS-160 is complete, conformation for interview is in hand! Only thing left is interview on the 5th of December! I have my ticket to Kyiv purchased and will be there for the interview! Good luck to everyone!

I think there's a person in the August thread who went with their fiancé to the interview at the embassy in London. You should ask them! :)

Yes, that's exactly correct! Congrats! You can schedule your interview after filling out DS-160 and paying the visa fee. Check the local consulate forums to be certain because each embassy is slightly different, some seem to require you to wait for a hard copy confirming this. I've heard that mine (Philippines) does not require the hard copy to schedule it, but that my fiancé needs to bring it with her to the medical and interview

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:

Always very beneficial, but not required. If you have the means to go together, I'd say def do so. I'm trying hard to see if I can schedule our interview to occur during a trip I planned to go there. More than anything, just to be there for my fiancé. ?

Wow almost at the finish line. I'm so excited.... I found out I have to wait for my fiancé to get packet 3 and 4 before completing ds-160 and paying fees unfortunately that could take up to 6 weeks at the Ghana embassy then another 2 month wait after that for the interview ? The waiting continues for us.

Hey. Might sound stupid, but just second guessing everything. Where do I pay for the ds-160 ?

From my us embassy page i got to a page ustraveldocs.com but dont know how legit it is. Well has to be but still. How did you guys pay for your ds160 application ?

We dint spend any penny for our ds160. Only for my visa and medical exam.

Just called NVC. They just received my case today. I will call tomorrow to see if they have a case number for me. Yay!!

Yes, you pay the visa fee on ustraveldocs.com. The DS-160 is free.

Yes, you pay the visa fee on ustraveldocs.com. The DS-160 is free.

Is this embassy specific? I've looked on the Nairobi Embassy site and I can't find a place where I'd be able to pay it. Anyone else going through Nairobi with thoughts on this?
