Call on Monday at 7am. That's when it usually is the fastest to get through. And they're closed for Veterans Day and don't answer phones at the weekend.

We have the same NOA2 date - hopefully that means when I call on Monday they may have something for me :)

Yea sure. You'll definitely get it by Monday God's willing

wanted to confirm , the ds 160 needs to be done before visa fee correct? or is it visa fee first them ds 160?

Here's a good thread about how to do all this - this one is specific to Manila embassy though, there are sub-forums for each consulate and I'd recommend searching those or asking questions like this on those, also check your embassy's website for their requirements

Hi guys quick question, remember our NOA2? Theres a date there like max of 4 months before it will expire what does that mean? Does that mean before the given date expire, we are already in the US?

It will probably be fine, but if you can change it you should. That's what I think.

I think it means you have to book an interview date before 4 months, but I'm not sure! Maybe someone else in this thread knows the answer?

I think it means this too. Your K1 is valid for 6 months once issued, so that will trump the NOA2 expiration date. Pretty sure the interview just needs to be booked before the NOA2 expiry date.

I read about this on here before. You have until the NOA2 expiration date to have your interview. And, we can request extensions on the approval expiration multiple times for up to 1 year out from your NOA2 date. I believe it's possible to extend beyond this if circumstances cause delays beyond that timeframe as well.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/390603-noa2-expiration-date/

I also read about one person having trouble with a customs officer on arrival here in the US because their "approved I129f was expired" (the NOA2), even though that's not at all a requirement. Firstly, that should not ever happen, though to be certain some people suggested extending it or getting their fiancé out here before that just to avoid any possibility of it. And, if anyone does ever have a problem like that at customs, it was said to tell their fiancé that it's very important to stay at the airport and request a supervisor until it can be resolved

Yeah, that makes sense.

the 4 month validity on the noa2 is pretty useless since petitioners dont really have control of anything , we have to wait for nvc to process and then find a interview date , what the embassy will do is extend the date automatically , to be safe i would just email the embassy , but true as long as you get your interview date within the 4 month time no worries , but if you dont the embassy will extend it and u can confirm with email

my 4 month period was oct 12 to feb 11 2017 , but its not like were in control of how many interview dates are available , this is a common thing for them to extend the valid date
