i wanted to ask tax return wise , tax return 2016 will not be required till april correct , so any person having a interview before April should be sufficient with a 2015 tax return , am i right about this? so then ppl interviewing in april and after will haveto obtain the 2016 tax return

No 2016 tax return may not be an issue because a lot people are late filers. But, if you will have your 2016 taxes at that time, by all means use it along with 2015 and 2014.

Striker, as per the I-134 instructions, you only need to provide the previous years tax return if you are self employed. Are you self-employed?

this is correct for the I-134 but for the interview you will need your past three year tax transcripts I was told. which in your case is 2015 2014 and 2013

That is the requirement for the I-864 which is the affidavit of support you fill out once you are married. Better to be over-prepped than under-prepped though I guess.

see thats the trick to this process true based on the actual form i wouldnt need it , but going to my embassy site multple times they need a recent tax return along with w2 , i would always check your embassy site you never know what they may need , im just glad a w2 and recent tax return is all they need , ofcourse im going full throttle and gonna give my fiance pay stubs , bank statements , employment letter , w2 of 2014,2015 , tax returns 2014,2015, wage/income transcripts of 2013-2015 , and a 2013 no filling letter since i was a student and didnt work that year

cover your bases completely!

Nope. Section 18a of I-864 form states only most recent year of federal income tax must be included. Section 18b states second and third most recent years as optional. If you don't include second and third most recent years, there is a space to enter adjusted gross income.

I do not understand why the NVC is so slow. This doesn't make a bit of since to me. Someone could get to the moon in 6 weeks. How does it possibly take that long to email something?

all these recent faster approvals is causing nvc to slowdown , in july they were on average taking nvc 10-15 days for most ppl ,

That doesn't make any sense. We have to slow down because we were going fast. There literally is not any excuse. There honestly shouldn't be any hold up. The applications have been approved. They arent sending the information to new embassies. This is a process that should be very fluid by now. Literally nothing changes, not the addresses, not the information or any of the forms that are sent. Basically everyone's files are very similar. It doesn't make sense how it takes longer to send information then it took to approve it.
