hoping for some good news this week , stay strong everyone

Looking at the statistics is helping me cope with the wait, so:

Looking back since August, only about 85% of people report their visa process past NOA2 but early September NOA2s are all 75% done so 10% of people are either stragglers or slow to input. So we can just say we expect 75% of people to mean that week has been (for the most part) fully processed (except for unusual cases) i.e. 75%=100%.

So with that in mind:

NOA2's from Sep 26th - Oct 2nd are 87% (of 35 NOA2s) finished (most of which were done on the week of 10th & 17th)

NOA2's from Oct 3rd - October 9th are 39% (of 54 NOA2s) finished (most of which were done on the week of the 17th & 24th)

So probably another week of 3rd-9th but starting on 10th - 16th this week and next week too (there are only 44 of them we could expect to be input as finished).

Also, once I get my case number, do i have to wait for packet 3 before i can schedule an interview? I know i have to have scheduled the medical, and filled in the DS-160 and have filed in the applicant readiness form first first. But if i do that before I get packet three then can I go ahead and schedule the interview?

I believe it depends on the embassy. I know my embassy requires you to get packet 3 before scheduling an interview. You should check out the embassy in London's website or ask other Brits here on the forum. :)

Heard it can take a while. 2-3 weeks.

no luck on nvc yet but i did ask a few questions and got some answers

apparently they get cases in the mail only once a day and throughout the day 7am- 12am midnite they scan the cases , now that doesnt mean they completely finish scanning the cases they got that day , i think this is what makes them get behind. Also cases that got approved one most likely arent sent out that exact day it was approved , example cases that got approved oct 11, some may not get sent out till oct 16th. Also from a old thread apparently wednesdays and fridays are the best days to call , not sure why

im going to go up a level and call 4 times a day in 5 hour intervals , that way i have at least 4 chances a day of getting case received

whats also puzzling is even today i didnt see anyone from aug or sept filers update about getting a case number or case received

Since I am here in the Philippines and my fiance is in the military and deployed in Japan there's no way we can follow up thru calls so i tried email and i only got autoreply lol but i am patiently waiting here. We are only given four months to complete the process I believe they will not exceed 2 months before our case numbers will be issued to us. I don't fret now unlike while waiting for my NOA2. But i saw a couple of applications same embassy with me that were already given case numbers.

Sounds stressful! We haven't bothered to call yet. We are about a week behind you in terms of NOA2, so I'll probably just get my fiancee to call them up a week or so after you get your case number

Has anyone else noticed that the USCIS app has become very quiet?....3 weeks ago every night there was 7-8 updates to cases close to my date. Now as I'm still waiting for our NOA2 there is maybe 1 maybe 2 updates a night. Anyone else who is still waiting for their NOA2 noticed this?

My noa 1 is a few days behind you. I was hoping mine would be quick like alot, but from the beginning my lawyer told me 4 months. I have been on here a few weeks and see some get an noa2 in less than a month. I am playing the waiting game like yourself

My NOA1 is Sept. 26. It's been over 5 weeks for me now. My attorney said it would take 4-5 months, less than 6 months for sure. I too have seen applications getting approved around me in less than 4 weeks. So I understand the frustration. I have looked at the USCIS app for the past week and haven't seen much movement around me. So I'm just hopeful right now.
