just a small update did my first nvc call , only took 8mins to get someone i called around 704am, the lady was even nice ,case still not received but this call was more to make sure i knw how to call etc, ill try next week for sure

Got approved October 18, 2016 (NOA 2)!! Saw the update on the USCIS phone app but havent received an email nor text about it.

I just realized it was approved! It had the same layout as the NOA1 notice on the app. But yey!! Didnt get an RFE!! On to the next step! No need to spend so much on attorneys or agencies to fix this, totally doable on your own!

Of course we got an RFE!! Not very happy, hopefully nothing major. Just a very inconvenient setback

I have no idea to be honest. I can't think of one single thing we could have missed. It will hopefully be fine, just a very annoying delay. Thank you for your positive vibes

Just joining the thread for September filers! We got out NOA1 on the 19th September and got our NOA2 on the 18th October, although we havnt received the hard copy yet. I see you guys are using an app? Is it still useful now?

Just joining the thread for September filers! We got out NOA1 on the 19th September and got our NOA2 on the 18th October, although we havnt received the hard copy yet. I see you guys are using an app? Is it still useful now?

The app is only useful for USCIS, and now that your application is approved it's not with them anymore. So no, not useful. But you can use it after the beneficiary arrives in the US and you file for adjustment of status, I think. Edited October 22, 2016 by RandB

Hopefully someone can give some insight My fiance has some work things to finish up as well, a family trip he does once a year he would like to do one more time before he moves here and I travel there in February for a month ( which I don't think will be an issue). But I was originally thinking we would have the Visa in hand by March but it could go a lot quicker.

You should make a thread about it so you can get your answer. Or maybe try to search for it.

All I know is:

I-129F valid for four months after approval

Medical valid for six months

Visa valid for six months after approval???

I see on your timeline that your consulate says Norway. All the Scandinavians has to go to the Stockholm embassy for K1 visas. If you wrote that the application should be sent to Oslo on the I-129F form, maybe that's what the RFE is about? It should say Stockholm instead. I have no idea though. Just a suggestion. It seems silly they would give you an RFE for that. I'm rambling.
