In my life, I tend to not upgrade things until they break or become completely unservicable.

I'm still using a 3gs.

It started to be a little bit of a pain starting a year ago but I'm trying to make it to 2019 with it.

We still have a 3GS that my wife uses when she goes to Russia. The 3GS was a big leap forward in technology, but I'd have recycled it a long time ago if it was up to me. If you just use your phone to make phone calls though, it's still OK.

The charging port is failing and my wife wants me to fix it. I noticed working ones are selling for $30 or so on eBay now, so I may pick one up, but when all is said and done, I'll probably feel like its a waste of $30.

I still use it for email and browsing too. Most newer versions of apps aren't supported anymore.

Careful, according to Breitbart, buy8ng a used phone on ebay is a federal offense

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

I am more in the same camp as Sousuke. I had a 3GS for several years (my first smart phone) until it finally failed on me. Not having the same hobby as Dankine, I went and got a 5 which I still have today and does everything I need. I don't see myself changing unless the 5 fails (going strong three plus years now). My wife has the 5c and likes it, but mentioned a while back that she wouldn't mind a larger screen, so I might consider a 6S Plus, but haven't pulled the trigger on that one yet. Personally, I like the iPhone since it is smaller than the Samsung as I like to carry it in my pocket (I hate those belt holsters). I have a friend that has to simply have the latest Apple phone no matter what, but he usually hands down the older phones to his kids.

Relative to removing the 3.5mm port, how will this work with people that use Square for taking payments? Is there a Bluetooth Square device, or will they need to use an adapter through the Lightening port?
