Importance of relationship evidence (spouse of LPR)

Good evening guys.

How do you know when you have enough evidence.

Is it really necessary to send 100s and 100s of pages of Emails and chat logs?

My wife thinks it is okay just to send some of the basic information requested as "secondary evidence" i.e. a few photos, 2 affidavits from friends and family.

I am a bit worried about it all.

Affidavits alone carry little weight. They are only really useful if people are struggling to provide other forms of evidence. Spending time together is the best evidence of all. Plane tickets, photos, evidence of meeting each other's family, that type of thing.

It's not necessary to send hundreds of pages of chat logs, especially if they are relatively meaningless. No way is anyone at USCIS going to look through hundreds of pages of smiley faces and "I love you"s to make a decision. However, it is good to send a sample from each month or so to show ongoing communication. Also, it's good to show that you talk about the day to day domestic things that married couples talk about, not just flirty talk.

Timeline in brief:

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

Thank you very much. So providing pics from the different times she was with me should be sufficient?

I will also have my passport with me which would show times i visited her and her family in Jamaica (before they migrated) will that be good or should i specify by copying the jamaica immigration stamps to paper to highlight them.

Same with her passport is carrying it to the interview enough.

We seldom talk via message, only whatsapp calling or skype.

Definitely make copies of the pages with the passport stamps to show your travels to Jamaica and her travels to you. Pictures should be from the entire relationship to show you have seen each other as often as you could. I sent pictures that were clearly taken at different times of the year (some had snow on the ground, one had a Christmas tree in the background, the trees in blossom or fall foliage, our clothes and hairstyles were different and so on). No point sending lots of pictures all taken on the same day.

hmph. We do not live in a seasonal place that I can show some of those changes over the year. But my wife has locs (hair style) and you can definitely see the growth of them over the 6 years that we have known each other. Thanks again. will really have to look through my pictures and print some out that shows continuing relationship as best as possible.
