Finally, I’ve got the GC today. Here is a timeline.

09/23/2016 : NOA1

11/04/2016 : Biometric

10/12/2017 : Case status changed - New Card is being produced

10/16/2017 : Case status changed - Card was mailed to me

10/18/2017 : Card arrived in mail box

NO APPROVAL LETTER. So I didn’t know the Approval date.

Good luck everyone.

I wonder if you did not get approval letter what would be a document justifying you LPR status in case your GC gets lost or stolen?

Of course you would immediately apply for the replacement, but let's say for some reason you need a proof of status while waiting...

Do you think it makes sense to call them and ask about the approval letter as well?

ROC timeline:

I-751 sent to Vermont Service Center

I-751 filing date: 09-13-2016

NOA receipt date: 09-20-2016

Biometrics appointment on 10-21-2016

I-751 approved on 10-13-2017

Approval letter received on 10-20-2017

Case status "New card is being produced" on 11-01-2017

Card mailed (Lees Summit, MO) 11-03-2017

Card received (Atlanta, GA) 11-07-2017

N400 timeline:

Field office - Atlanta, GA

N400 applied on-line on 10-28-2017

Receipt notice date: 10-28-2017

Biometrics appointment issued 11-04-2017

Biometrics appointment date - 11-22-2017

Actually, I just looked through the instructions for the form I-90 (Replacement of Green Card). In case your GC got stolen or lost you need to submit I-90 with just copies of your ID.

However, in case your permanent GC was issued but you never received it you have to submit I-90 plus the NOA (I-797) with the decision about you case (i.e. an Approval letter). Quote from I-90 Instructions: "Item Number 2.b. My previous card was issued but never received. Select this reason if you never received your card. Submit a copy of the latest Form I-797, Notice of Action, for any of the following forms that should have resulted in issuance of your Permanent Resident Card: Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; Form I-751, Petition to Remove the Conditions of Residence; etc..."

So I would strongly recommend to those whose case status changes from "Case was received" to "Card being produced" to call and inquire for the Approval Letter, that it has been sent to your address.

Because if, heaven forbid, you will not receive you new card, you may be in trouble without an official document stating that your I-751 petition was approved.

I just booked an infopass to get a stamp. The Cleveland office must be really quiet because there were tons of open appointments.

I agree, went there two weeks ago, plenty of appointment, got myself stamped for a year .  By the way, when I first landed here, most people here would tell me "Out of all the 50 states, you chose Cleveland? :D" .  Maybe that's one of the reason it is quiet, lol.

I do not know why you have to see it as a problem, this is a forum where we share all the updates and if you are waiting almost a year for approval it is logical that you want to have the gc in your hands, like me that I 'm waiting for it 23 days and it not arrives🙄

Then maybe should create a separate thread. Approved but GC didn't come ))

All you need to show them is your driver's license/state ID and unrestricted social security card. If they ask for anything else, they are committing a federal crime. They also cannot re-verify you at a later date for any reason.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

An update: got my approval letter yesterday.

A quick timeline:

For your information, Approval letter does not have "Return service request" stamp. Here is the picture of my envelope. So, I think it will be forwarded by USPS if accidentally sent to your old address and you have USPS forward mail service set up.
