It's an approval letter given the watermarks inside the paper. RFE doesnt have any watermarks on the paper.

It doesn't matter. I didn't have my case number when I was scheduling my infopass and I left the case number blank! I only entered my first and last name!

Just wanted to give an update on my info pass appointment. I received a 1-year stamp. I asked the officer about the progress of my case. He said: " there's no update since my case was received September 2016 and when it comes to I-751 there's no specific timeframe. It's likely that we need a second stamp next year!!!". I also asked about if he would recommend that I apply for citizenship. He said it was up to you but if you were eligible you could apply.

For our information: VSC processing times have been updated.

Now it says October 3.

So all of us September filers who did not receive decision yet now can file on-line service request: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do as we all fall outside the processing time-frame.

Although, I don't think it will help much... We'll probably get the same automatic generic response "your case will receive a decision within 60 days".

You know what I love most about USCIS? Their jaunty optimism! :bonk:  

 

On the other hand, I think that second answer might be "bureaucrat-ese" for " I can't officially tell you this, but... Apply for citizenship."

Hello everyone!

 

Quick question... I tried to read as much as I could in the Forum, but I feel like I still didn't find an answer similar to my situation, so I decided to ask...

I filled my I-751 on January 10, 2017. About the 18th they cashed the check and a week later I got my NOA1. Then I got the Biometrics appointment in February, which I made without a problem.

Since then.... NADA... Complete silence. No letter, emails, notifications or changes in status whatsoever...

Is that normal??  Does the process takes about 11 months in almost ALL cases??  I'm seeing with certain HORROR that the CSC has not approved yet people filing in 2016, while the VSC has almost everybody approved...

I can't remember which one is the one for me, but I think is CSC :(

We are very concern, specially my wife...

The reason is because we are a Same-Sex marriage and she keeps panicking that under this new administration they will somehow revoke my GC and I will have to leave.

 

Is this timeline we are experiencing something normal or should we start panicking and looking for another country to move??
