Hi guys, im a September 2016 filer too. my green cards expires December, so my extension letter expires December too.

i keep seeing people go in for an infopass to get i-551 stamp.

so is it good to go and get the stamp this early?

I would wait till mid of November and make an appointment. This way you'll have your new extension till December 2018, not September 2018 (3 months longer). Just in case )

I got mine done because I'm traveling internationally in Mid Dec and my extension letter expires in the first week of Dec. So in order to apply for the visa, I need to demonstrate that I have valid residency in the US. If you're traveling on the winter holidays or anytime after Dec, get the extension stamp and be done with it. Otherwise, you can always do it later.

Cheers

@CR1HolderJo What is you NOA1 Date? I don't see your info in your timeline or on the list? Would you mind adding yourself to the list or asking someone else to add you?

If that was me- I would write down his name and file a complaint Against this guy.

I thought about doing that but then I was like meh whatever man.. He did stamp the thing on my passport so whatever you know..

But I just hate it when an employee respond in such a douchy way when we politely ask them a question.. like what the F### man.. it's stupid..

Hi all!

I'm a VSC filer and I received my letter of acceptance today! NOA 9/30/16, Bio 11/1/16, Acceptance date 8/31/17. MyUSCIS status has not changed yet.

Good luck everyone! Hoping things will pick up for CSC too. We all know how rough the waiting game can be.

Does all petitioners who got approved get an email from USCIS automatically? Or they have to activate a certain option? Also who gets notified the applicant or both spouses if its a joint I-751?

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

I think if you create an account on uscis.gov you can turn on mobile and email alerts. Although my experience, and others on Vj, is that they don't update online when a case is approved. I think they update when your card is in production, although i haven't got that far yet
