I'm on the same boat. I'm planning on traveling over the Holiday break and my extension letter expires on Dec 7th. And I wanna apply to get the visa now in advance so what should I do in this case?? Does USCIS turn people away when applying for Infopass 3 months before their extension letter expiration date? Is there such a thing?? Did anyone apply for infopass 3 months before their extension letter expiration date?

Thanks for the support!

That's what I've read in this thread. "3 months turn away" experience

Hi all-

I am a Nov-16 VSC filer. I wanted to ask who from the VSC Sept-16 are still around and actively waiting and reading the forum? I went back 20 pages and I see mostly CSC folks writing in the forum (except for DudeinTribeca) so wanted to do a roll call for the remaining 11 VSC folks on the list and see who is still around and waiting albeit not posting. I hope you guys don't mind. It would be really helpful for the rest of us.

Thanks!

I'm a VSC filer with a (NOA 9/30/2016). Still no change in status online, nor a paper notification.

From what I understand, a driver's license is fine. My husband had neither a state ID or driver's license and he was able to get a stamp. They did ask him for an ID, but it wasn't a requirement. They just went off his passport and expired GC.

They don't care if any of IDs is expired or not because only they have this authority to give you legal status here. And all these IDs will be issued based on the date USCIS determine. So they can ask you for the ID but it's only your business whether you want to update it or not.
