The USCIS site is not recognizing my I-751 receipt number anymore. It comes up with an error code. We had our InfoPass appointment on the 15th to get the I-551 stamp in my husband's passport, so I'm not sure if that triggered a glitch or something. At first I thought maybe the stamp invalidated the previous case receipt #, but they wrote in the same WAC number underneath the stamp so I don't thing we were assigned a new one. We also filed our N-400 on the 8th and a few days ago we received the I-797 for that but I think they're totally separate so am not sure why it would cause a problem with the I-751 number. Has anyone else had that happen after either filing N-400 or getting an I-551 stamp? Anyway, I will try to call USCIS tomorrow and post what I hear back.

I saw somebody else talking about a similar problem today. Hopefully it's a temporary glitch in the system.

Did you put the receipt # in your biometrics notice? The original receipt notice in the I797 will not work in the Ellis system.

Hi ! Im new in this forum. My husband received the Extension for one year on Sept. 22th and did the biometrics in Oct. 16th. I was trying the last 2 weeks to get app of infopass in Faifax to get the extension but was so busy. I called to USCIS and ask how to get solution because this field office never show available app and they told me to try in other office close to me. Today we visit Baltimore office and in less than 30 minutes they stamped the passport. I asked the official what is happening with the proccessing times in VCS and he told me that there are a lot of cases and they have to send some of them to CSC, and told us that they begun working in some of Sept. fillers and maybe take one month more. Cross fingers🙏🏻🙏🏻

VCS filers have nothing to worry about. The processing times didn't change unlike CSC and you will get your GC very soon.

Sigh. I'm feeling super impatient. The timing sucks for me to apply for naturalization, so I'd like to get my 10 year green card. Time to stalk the info pass to get an appointment on one of my rare weekdays off so I can get a passport stamp.

Glad some folks are getting through this process.

This is exactly why I went there. My extension was expiring in the beginning of September. But you may want to wait till November to go for Infopass. At least don't go too early because they may turn you away. I'd say not until after the beginning of October.

I'm on the same boat. I'm planning on traveling over the Holiday break and my extension letter expires on Dec 7th. And I wanna apply to get the visa now in advance so what should I do in this case?? Does USCIS turn people away when applying for Infopass 3 months before their extension letter expiration date? Is there such a thing?? Did anyone apply for infopass 3 months before their extension letter expiration date?

Thanks for the support!

Glad to see VSC is speeding up a little bit, processing September filers by now! Is that right?

You never know.. Some June and July filers are still waiting to be processed.. very few Sept filers have been processed though.. Who knows how they're processing all these cases??!!! There's no fixed time frame for their processing process!

Cheers!

It's all about patience guys! If anything, going through this whole journey teaches you how to become patient =)

Hang in there! sooner or later, eventually everyone will get approved or denied.

We got the stamp one month before the letter expire but my friend had to travel for two months to her country and she went to infopass app with her fly ticket two months and half before her letter expire and explained to officer that has to travel and they stamped her passport. Just in case it help you😊

Yes, I got my stamp in July and my extension expired in Oct. From what I heard, it's a game of luck but I think the officer should get used to it by now because there is no way CSC will process our card under a year now. Good luck!

Hi All,

Received approval letter today in the mail !!   :D  NOA 09/22/16.     Like others have said - no updates on USCIS site for case status yet.

Can't wait to actually receive the card. :)
