Any tips for the InfoPass appointment? I read in other threads that we need to get on the USCIS website right after midnight and try to book an appointment around that time. Is this for real? Also, what should I bring to the USCIS office?

OMG! You just reminded me that me too! My GC expired on September 30 I think! So I have August and then I have to go get my passport stamped in the 30 days window. 

Also, I am going through divorce so I have to change my application from Joint to Divorce waiver. I think I may use the info pass appt for both. Or does anyone know how to go about notifying them of divorce? I won't be legally divorced until September due to waiting periods. This is a really stressful time for me

I think it depends on the office where you are going. For Irving, TX I notice that they always have slot available when I checked at 5 am in the weekday.

Quick question... does your Green Card expire in October or is that 12 months after you got the letter?

My Green Card expired in 2016, but I filed in Sep 2016 (3 months prior). Just checking whether I should plan to get a stamp in the next few weeks or November time (if my green card hasn't arrived by then!)

My GC expired in Oct 2016. The extension will expire in Oct 2017. I would suggest that you plan to get a stamp soon. I personally don't think we will get the 10 years GC by this year (esp for CSC filers). The officer in my infopass told me it can take years.

My GC expires in December... What's the time frame for the info pass? Sorry if this has already been asked and answered, I'm super busy at work. I keep seeing these emails pop up and I'm thinking that info pass is going to be a certainty at this rate.

Easiest way to add/update the List  
(FORMATTING HAS CHANGED WITH VJ UPDATE. REGULAR COPY AND PASTE IS ALL THAT IS REQUIRED) 
Instructions below may not be needed now. 

1. Make sure you are on the correct thread you want to add the post to.
2. At the top of the thread, you will find a blue button that says "Reply to this topic". Click it.
3. You will see your posting box. You don't need to alter any fonts or colors etc. One of the icons (top right hand side) is the editor options. Once clicked 2 boxes pop up. Make sure "Paste as plain text by default" is unchecked.
4. Scroll down the page until you come across the first applicant date list. Copy and paste the list and relevant information and paste it in the editing box above. (I use the right mouse click button to copy text and right mouse click to paste. DO NOT "Paste as plain text" as it may not format correctly).
5. Your information in the editing box should look like the actual post with all lines and hyphens in line with each other.
6. If you are adding your name to the list, you need to add a line. Place cursor at the end of the last line and press enter. This continues the correct font and size. Enter information (your VJ name in CAPITALS) and be careful not to erase any other lines. If you are unsure if you have, click cancel button and start again.
7. To edit hyphens to add dates, find your line with your information on it and delete the hyphens and replace with date.
8. Lastly, if you added your name, make sure you put yourself in the right service center ie, Vermont or California. Remember to change the number of applicants depending on which service center your petition is at.
9. PREVIEW POST. Just to make sure everything looks right before posting. If it looks right, then "Add reply". You're done.

Congratulations!

 

It sounds like Sep 12th was the date you received the NOA letter in the mail. What was the actual NOA date at the top of your notice? Usually it would be a few day earlier than the date your check was cashed.

Haha. No worries! I'm guesstimating your NOA date might have been around September 5th or 6th. If you ever dig up your notice / extension letter and find the date on there, let us know.

 

Congratulations again. Some people are receiving their 10y GC in the mail under 2 weeks after the approval notification. Hopefully will be that quick for you!

I just remembered that I had a notarized copy of the NOA in my wallet and you're right the date was September 6th. 

I hope and pray that everyone gets approved quickly.
