I am a big believer that if you have time to schedule it early, go right ahead :). I didn't see anything that prohibits you to schedule earlier than 90 days.

 

In my case, I am renewing my home country passport now so I have to wait until end of July when I get my new passport.

Iam researching on this topic of infopass appointment and i am reading various different answers . Some say they wont stamp your passport unless its with in 100 days of the expiry date and some say 30 days. And how far advance we can book our appointments ? If tonight i refresh , can i book for early september now? Or its only for the 15 days after two weeks? 

 

Btw i got really lucky with my DL expiration date , i have read that in some states renewing dl is a struggle even  if you have the extension letter . Both my passport and dl are expiring in 2023. When i applied for dl last year here in missouri i got 7 year dl  With the conditional GC!. I drive a lot as part of my work so having a dl is crucial for my income. Once i get my infopass stamp i probably should apply for citizenship coz i am tired of these " expiration dates" .

I recall reading somewhere here on VJ that USCIS will only entertain an infopass appointment for GC extension stamp (after extension letter expires and no 10-year GC yet) a month before the GC extension expires. You might be too early in your request for GC extension stamp. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Based on what I am reading, it's a judgment call on the officer to stamp I551 on your passport. I would go early if I could. That's because I just like to play it safe and do not scramble for appointment closing to my extension letter expires. Until now, my employer has not said anything about my visa (GC) but I hate to jeopardize my work if I don't act on it soon enough.

 

Speaking about appointment, I see some open scheduled in Irving office so I just grabbed one appointment in July. I can always reschedule it later if I still don't get my (home country) passport back.

Hi, guys! once I have received my NOA letter dated 11/30, I went to the DMV to extend my DL. but they extended it one year from the date of the NOA letter, so my DL expires on 11/30/ 2017. While my GC was expiring on 2/25/2017. So my problem is: if they do not want to stamp my passport one month before my DL expires, then how can I extend my DL? Do I just go back in with the same letter and tell them they should have extended it until 2/25/2018? Quite the hassle for 3 months of DL extension. I would then have to go back in 2 months once they stamp my passport (if they really won't stamp it more than 1 month before the date when GC expires). Was anybody else in this situation? thank you.

I'm planning to get my citizenship process started asap. I want my friend from the U.K. over here if at all possible. Looking at the timelines, from submitting the n-400 to oath takes about 6 months, some less, some more. If my application is received by the end of September, what do you guys think the chances of an end of April, beginning of May ceremony are? We can schedule the ceremony to suit, right? She has to book her vacation for that time by the end of this week is the thing.

I don't know how to search here for the info but on average, how much longer do Sep 2016 filers have to wait for ROC approval?

I would like to make sure.. is that mean we can apply N400 in September, even the I751 is still in process? My home country passport is going to expire in June 2018.. should I renew my passport? I'm worried that I need to renew my passport and apply N400 at the same time because they cost lots of time and money!

You can apply 90 days before your 3 years GC anniversary if you are married to US citizen even if your I751 is pending. Make sure you include all your I 751 papers (I 797, biometric letter etc.) So that immigration knows you have a pending application.

I would renew the passport since the naturalization process can take a long time.
