Did biometrics today. All the lots near the federal building were full so we had to walk about 20 mins. Had a hard time finding it since we left our phones in the car per the notice saying no phones allowed (even though some guy in the waiting room's phone rang multiple times and he wasn't tackled to the ground for it).

All in all the appointment took about 5 or 10 mins including filling out a form, waiting and the biometrics itself. There was one woman doing everything and she kept it running smoothly.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Has anyone had any RFEs or any other news yet? I did my biometrics and havent heard anything from USCIS. What are the timelines looking like?

California service center usually takes about 6 months from filing date to adjudication. Could be more or less though. I would expect to hear something around March or April.

So sorry for late reply! I just took my green card and the biometrics letter.

OK, got my biometrics done Nov 10. I showed my state ID and appointment letter. Then they gave me a form to fill out and a ticket number. After several minutes, my number got called again and was asked to show expired GC, ticket number, form that was filled out, bio appointment and then did the biometrics procedure.

HI everyone.

I have done some math based on data shown on VisaJourney and I want to know just how accurate the math is. If you sent to Vermont Service Centre and have received your biometrics appointment date, can you try this equation and see if the result matches the date you were given for your biometrics. Thanks :-)

Use this equation for the date estimate. y = 0.9739x + 42.41. The R-Square value for the equation is up at 0.9834 so it is pretty accurate. The error in the final value is at 1.44 so you can plus or minus 1.44 days from your final answer to give you the date range for your biometrics.

Example:

I am sending my package off today, 21 November 2016. This is the 326th day of the year.

So for the 326th day of the year, the calculation will be y = (0.9739 multiplied by 326) plus 42.41 = 368.41.

There were 366 days in 2016. Because my calculated number 368.41 is bigger than 366, I know this means my biometrics will be in 2.41 days into 2017. If I plus and minus the error of 1.44 onto this I get day 0.97 or day 3.85 into 2017. Rounded up for simplicity, my biometrics will hopefully be some time between 1 January and 4 January 2017.

Looking forward to seeing how accurate this is :-)

I was just asked to switch my phone off..that's it

They didn't check it but asked me if I was carrying a phone..

They just looked at my green card..appointment letter..

Asked me to fill a form out..then called me for the fingerprints and photograph..put a stamp on my appointment letter and you are supposed to take the stamped appointment letter with you as proof that you've attended the biometrics..

I was out in about 15min!

Where are we supposed to take the stamped appointment letter as proof?

Where are we supposed to take the stamped appointment letter as proof?

I think to the interview if you're called in for one.

Probably at the earliest. I've read in a few threads that CSC is slowing down. Probably because all the people who were held up doing their CR-1s in 2013/2014 are now removing their conditions.

Hello! I am new here.

I would like to know how the others doing for filing I-751.

Here's my status:

Filing date: 9/12/2016

Receipt date: 9/21/2016

Check cashed: 9/23/2016

Biometrics notice date: 9/24/2016

Biometrics date: 10/14/2016
 

I filed to California Service Center in Laguna Niguel.

But I don't know how to find out the waiting time for the process.

 

Also, I would like to ask if I can apply citizenship right now? or I need to wait after the condition remove?

I know I should ask this question in the other thread...

But... anyone knows if USCIS counts these 2 years into applying citizenship? Thanks!
