Still waiting for my biometric appointment. I was hoping it would be in my mailbox today but I think I'll give it another 2 or 3 weeks before I get overly worried.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Easiest way to add/update the List

1. Make sure you are on the correct thread you want to add the post to.
2. At the top of the thread, you will find a blue button that says "Reply to this topic". Click it.
3. You will see your posting box. You don't need to alter any fonts or colors etc. One of the icons (top right hand side) is the editor options. Once clicked 2 boxes pop up. Make sure "Paste as plain text by default" is unchecked.
4. Scroll down the page until you come across the first applicant date list. Copy and paste the list and relevant information and paste it in the editing box above. (I use the right mouse click button to copy text and right mouse click to paste. DO NOT "Paste as plain text" as it may not format correctly).
5. Your information in the editing box should look like the actual post with all lines and hyphens in line with each other.
6. If you are adding your name to the list, you need to add a line. Place cursor at the end of the last line and press enter. This continues the correct font and size. Enter information (your VJ name in CAPITALS) and be careful not to erase any other lines. If you are unsure if you have, click cancel button and start again.
7. To edit hyphens to add dates, find your line with your information on it and delete the hyphens and replace with date.
8. Lastly, if you added your name, make sure you put yourself in the right service center ie, Vermont or California. Remember to change the number of applicants depending on which service center your petition is at.
9. PREVIEW POST. Just to make sure everything looks right before posting. If it looks right, then "Add reply". You're done.

I dont think this is an issue. I dont have any either. It's just a suggestion for evidence to submit.

I have a very simple question

My husband has a policy through work and I'm joint beneficiary with his kid sister, but the website with all the HR stuff seems to have vanished and his employer is notoriously unhelpful so we couldn't add it. Not anticipating any issues.

Got my biometrics appointment letter today even though the notice date was Oct 23 and the postmark date was Oct 24. Bio appointment date for Nov 11 but I will try for early walk-in as I have a scheduling conflict.

What was scary though was I did not get the letter in my mailbox. Instead, someone left it on an ottoman chair in the waiting area for the elevators in my building. This is unacceptable for USPS to misdeliver something this important!!

Check my timeline for K-1 visa & AOS details

Our mailmen screw up sometimes too. We have a plastic box by the front door of the apartment building, just in front of the mailboxes, for flyers and whatnot to go in. One day we found most of our mail including bank statements, health insurance claims and tickets to a sports game in this box instead of our private mailbox (he did manage to put some spam mail into our mailbox though). Another time a different mailman left a small package full of new check books on top of the mailboxes, out in the open. Yet another delivered my new phone to a completely different mailbox even though we all have our names on them. Surely they must get mail at home too and know how important it is to make sure other people can't steal it. I understand they must be under time constraints but I feel it's unacceptable behaviour.

Finally got to talk today with someone at USCIS who can actually look up our case status (they won't forward you to them until it's been 30 days since you filed the I-751, won't talk to me without my wife's permission even though I'm the joint filer with my signature on it and everything, and can't forward you directly to the people but instead schedule a call-back for hours later and hope for the best).

However, all they could tell us is that they CAN'T FIND any record that we've filed the I-751. This is with my wife's conditional green card expiring on Friday, November 4. They suggested that it may be somewhere in fee waiver limbo, and gave us an email address to contact, from which we got an automatic reply telling us they'd get back to us within 15 days.

I think we're going to just send the whole thing all over again tomorrow, with payment this time. The fee is a significant hardship for us, but having to fight a deportation order sounds worse, even if we'd be almost certain to win.

2016-11-01: Informed in USCIS customer service call that they had no record of receiving our petition, but that it might still be languishing somewhere in fee waiver limbo

2016-11-01: Filed I-751 again, this time with payment check instead of fee waiver request (sent Priority Express)

2016-11-03: Date on I-797 Notice of Action (received 11/7)

2016-11-09: USCIS mailed out denial of our original fee waiver request, with denial letter dated 2016-11-02

2016-11-19: Biometrics appointment notice issued, for 2016-12-07 appointment

2016-11-26: Second biometrics appointment notice issue, for 2016-12-16 appointment (see this thread)

2016-12-07: Biometrics appointment. Allowed to complete biometrics despite mix-up on their end (again see this thread), but some people had to come back for second appointment date.

2018-05-01: Notice that our case was transferred to National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit, MO

2018-06-11: Approved after N-400 interview in Portland, OR (they seemed to be waiting for that before bothering with it)

Citizenship:

2017-12-11: N-400 Application for Naturalization submitted online while still waiting to hear back on I-751, received same day

2017-12-15: Biometrics notice

2018-01-04: Biometrics completed, on appointment date (Portland, OR)

2018-02-28: Interview scheduled for April 12 in Portland, OR

2018-03-01 (approximate): We sent in a letter requesting that the interview be rescheduled to after June 8, due to combination of work and family travel plans

2018-03-07: Notice that our April 12 interviewed had been "canceled" (pending rescheduling, but the letter didn't actually say that; officer at InfoPass later explained that interviews aren't scheduled until five or six weeks before the interview date, so they were waiting until closer to our requested rescheduling window)

2018-05-03: New interview scheduled for June 11.

2018-06-11: Citizenship interview - approved!

My husband has a policy through work and I'm joint beneficiary with his kid sister, but the website with all the HR stuff seems to have vanished and his employer is notoriously unhelpful so we couldn't add it. Not anticipating any issues.

Do you know the name of the insurance company? Even though the employer is paying the premium the insurance is most likely carried by an insurance company (Metlife, AAA etc.). You could try calling them and get a copy of the policy document along with the beneficiary information. It is probably a good idea to keep a copy of this document with you where you keep important documents. We have been scanning all the important documents and keeping electronic copies (in addition to the original paper copies).

Yes. 2 numbers is correct. I have no idea why but only 1 number will work in the case status info. Case statuses dont get updated after biometrics.

I hope you dont have any RFE either.

I wasn't so lucky with AOS. I got RFE (we knew that was coming thou) and we got an interview. I'll be hoping for no interview this time as taking 3 small children to USCIS and waiting for 2 hrs was not fun last time.
