There's two ways to look at it though Ozgirl... It may have extended your wait time for now, which isn't ideal, but it's also likely you'll have full Citizenship approval within the next couple of months 👍 For us that didn't file N400 yet, we're back to the bottom of the barrel for processing time. I don't think any of us could have predicted how long this process would take either way.

Yes, I totally agree with you.. I feel that by filing N-400, I jumped into the cue a lot sooner.  With me doing N-400 also, as long as my kids are under 18 (which they will be, hopefully) they will also derive naturalization from me. They wont have to apply for citizenship themselves.

That would be great for your kids 👍 Lord knows, non of us would wish this process on anyone lol.

Yip,  me too.

 

Approved March 8th, no sign of the GC or any change on my account (CSC).  Unusual I think. Last time it came about 4 days after approval.

It is very unusual! Last time i got it few days after i got the approval. My friend got approved in february and she got her gc few days after she got her approval letter. This is so bizarre :(

I'm thinking with the backlog of files throughout USCIS, it's the same for Green Cards. Someone has to presumably check, and then sign off on the card details, then they have to print them, and mail them with tracking... Like everything else, it's time consuming 😏

My inquiry finally got touched today.. :dance:  I'm so happy that it's at least been assigned to an officer...
On March 21, 2018, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR***********CSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

I got my approval letter 3/12 too and was approved march 5 on the letter. I will keep u guys updated once i get mine. Thank you for the update, at least i know i’m not the only one who hasnt received the card yet!

Keep us posted! I'll be interested to see if applying for the N400 delays the GC production 👍 I'm holding off until the GC arrives, to avoid that possibility.

Interesting! Looks better format wise, but now it doesn't appear to give a 'working on' date for people.

True. Down below there is a date this that you can submit inquiries if your NOA date is before that. It's August 31st, so technically September filers are not out of processing time with the new format.
