Well its not my year. Called USCIS. The lady looked at my case number, checked processing times, told me I was out of processing time. Gave me the option of connecting to tier 2 for more detailed information on my case or wait for a call back which could take 30 days ROFL... Guess what, Tier 2 stopped taking transfers at 2pm PST. I'll call them again tomorrow. SMH

How frustrating. Is there any reason that you know of, that could be causing the delay? Are you a divorce filer, or do you have children that need to be adjusted too? Any other unusual circumstances that might take longer than usual?

Yes. I have 3 children who came over with me who I'm also doing ROC for. So I have 4 ROC case numbers. All say the same thing. I also filed N-400 6 months ago. Seems that any of those could delay processing. However, all my children are under 18 so they didn't need any extra evidence. I dont know.. Just one of those things.. 
I really want to change jobs also but I cant due to filling out new I-9 form and the possible employer telling me your legal status is pending and we cant employ you (Yes, already happened).

As you say, could be that it's a large family situation, so they need time to process e the extra paperwork... Or the N400. There doesn't seem to be any consistency with the processes. But I shouldn't worry... I think given that you have two factors that would potentially take longer than usual, it's just a waiting game. I'm sure your approval is right around the corner ❤️ Keep us posted!

Did you tell them they will process your DL/State ID + SSN card or you will report them for breaking federal law? :D They're not allowed to pick and choose what they'll accept for the I-9 without the risk of some serious legal consequences. I work for a small employer and they took my DL + SSN no problem, in fact, it was all they asked for.

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I tried to but my husband told me that it wasn't worth get all worked up about. If they dont know the federal law, then they are probably not a company that I want to work for. I still have my current job (full time - 40hrs/wk) but i'm getting tired of my boss and his empty promises. Looking for a job that has benefits is not a bad reason to change.   
The longer I wait, the better it's gonna feel when something does happen, right?  :dance:

Yeah I get you. An employer who doesn't know a law that basic probably doesn't know how to run a company either lol.

Not required. You alone can go to Biometrics.

Yay congrats! I’m still waiting for my green card i got approved march 6 and got the letter a week ago. Did anyone that got approved this month received their green card yet?

Sorry Mrs. Ketsuban, Congrats!! to you and Justificeforall Yay!!  and everyone who got it so far Yay!! and Ozgirl, hang in there now.  that 30-day inquiry or response timing had me off as well.  I am losing my bits and pieces already haha so i have decided approval or not, i will be using my infopass to travel.  I have been putting off going back home since 2016 October.  My entry date is 10-28-2014.  I miss home so much, I gotta go back at least once for now :( Pfft!!
