i forgot to mark out my personal information and posted it easier. i wanted to repost it again. i received this from email. Does anyone know if it is an approval letter, REF or interview letter? i m so nervous and anxious. i didn't file N400 and my NOA1 is Sep 20th 2016.

Almost certainly an approval... Most people say that if you can see Lady Liberty in the window (and that's her arm and torch right there) it's the approval!

Looks like uscis has not touched a single file after 22nd September.

i need to renew my Indian passport and have to provide my visa status. I do not have the I 551 stamp either.

Sorry. That sounds so frustrating. It looks like your field office is Chicago -- if/when you get an I-551 stamp, would you mind reporting back to the thread whether it is for 6 months or one year? (It's theoretically supposed to be one year, but I've only heard of the Chicago office giving out 6-month extensions and am curious whether they are still holding to that policy.)

I  am an October Filer. I got my second 6 months stamp form Chicago office last thurstday.

Thanks so much for the update, @appz -- and I'm sorry to hear they're keeping that policy. :-(

 

On the upside, looks like they are now allowing combo N-400/I-751 interviews in Chicago. They wouldn't let us and a few others do that back in November/December or so, which is majorly delaying our N-400 process, but I heard of someone successfully having a combo interview there a couple of weeks ago, so maybe things are improving slightly in Chicago... I wish you a speedy resolution to your case.

it came from CSC. My online status is still "case was received at your local office"

Are any of the CSC people that are NOA 9/24 - 9/29 still active on this thread? I'm trying to figure out if CSC has come to a halt these past couple of weeks (in terms of progressing with NOA dates) or if people are being approved, but just not active and upsldating on VJ.
