NOA date 9/13/16.  RFE for lack of evidence.  We don't have a joint bank account - neither of us is a fan of them and, frankly my moving here with no credit history and no regular income until 6 months ago would have made things more complicated on a day to day basis not less - and my husband owned the house before I moved here, so we don't have some of the things they like to see.  Apparently, having full jurisdiction to deal with my stepkids' medical and school info, joint ownership of a car, joint tax returns, joint trips, joint purchases, joint health, life and car insurance, credit cards and proving residency at the same address several times over are no longer sufficient.

Oh wow! It sounds like you provided a lot of other stuff. Sorry that you got an RFE... Very frustrating. Have they instructed what they would like to see from you? Or are they just saying "provide more evidence"?

They've sent the standard list that says they want joint mortgage and bank account.  And other than that, just provide more evidence of financial co-mingling.  Which we just don't really have - we don't particularly view marriage as a financial arrangement.

It's difficult, as every marriage is different. Maybe a few affidavits from friends and family may help? Good luck to you! Keep us posted 👍

Hello Everyone,

I am have been following this thread but I have never posted for awhile. I just signed into my account and realized that my new card is in production. I couldn't be  any happier because this process has been really slow. I want to  encourage everyone to be positive about their process. There is definitely a light the end of the tunnel. Wishing everyone a speedy approval.

Just got the notification that my card is in production today 2/9/18! NOA 9/16/16. 

My username used to be Mayde...

 

I started with a Joint petition and then last year I sent in my divorce decree to amend my petition! No interview or RFE! SOOOO HAPPY!!!!
