Guys i need your help. I am sep 2016 csc filer and me and my husband are  moving next month to our own house from a rental property .  We had joint lease and stayed here ever since i came to us and now we are moving to our jointly owned house.

Please educate me , what is the process to update uscis of the address change? . Do we both need to separately update using different forms since we are  the petitioners of  i751 and he is the sponsor as well. ? What forms do we need to submit , can it all be done online or are we required to call? Is this a simple quick process? I am just disappointed that CSC is so slow. Its been more than a year and they havent touched our cases. I feel like now i should apply for citizenship but we are moving to new place and all so its gonna take some time. Please help. I appreciate your time. Thanks!

 

I want to do it all online without having to call but if there is a requirement from uscis that we must call ,we will. Please guide me as to how to proceed , what forms to use , where to start?  Thank you

I want to do it all online without having to call but if there is a requirement from uscis that we must call ,we will. Please guide me as to how to proceed , what forms to use , where to start?  Thank you

Only an immigrant has to report change of address. You can do it on-line here https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do However, I first recommend reading some simple details here https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange

Thanks for replying and Thank you for the link ! It also says that US CITIZEN spouse who sponsored I-864 has to complete form I865 for change of address as a sponsor? So i have to complete AR-11 online ,two steps , and my husband has to complete I865 and mail it , correct?  There is no Phone involved here? Can i865 be done online as well? Also , we will be moving by JAN end. Can i go ahead and update address now. ? we have keys for both mail boxes. So checking our new house mail is not a problem. Just want to make sure if i am following all the official rules here . USCIS says with in 10 days of moving. I would rather get it out of the way before moving .lol

Both the immigrant and the sponsor have to report change of address. I think it's form AR-11 for the immigrant and I-865 for the sponsor. The immigrant one I was able to do online but the I-865 had to be mailed. From what I remember the AR-11 has to be filed within 10 days and the I-865 has to be filed within 30 days of your move.

Yeah, you're right. I forgot about this fact because my sponsor is my friend, not my spouse LOL

When you call their customer service they say you can report change of address as early as 30 days prior to such change.

Sorry if I'm being stupid, or missing something. We have moved once since I arrived in the US. It was before we filed the ROC. I did a change of address (as the immigrant) but my husband (my sole sponsor) didn't complete anything for USCIS with regards to this. 

 

Am I correct in assuming that he didn't need to, as it's clear that we're living together as we're husband and wife? Or did we mess up, and he should have also completed a form to indicate a change of address?
