Applying through assets and a little Brazilian rent money.

I'm USC living abroad applying for spouse.

I plan on applying through assets from the sale of our apt. We should have around 100k dollars at the current conversion rate, well over the 60k required. We plan on transfering around 20k to my US account, to help with proof of re-establishing domicile. Also we just rented out our house here in Brazil at about U$700,00/per month.

How do I prove the rental? Just translate the contract?

Does my plan look solid enough without the joint sponsor?

thanks!

Hi your plan looks good but to be on the safe side I would have a joint sponsor to back you up that way no worries

I keep hearing that... It kind of sucks though because I don't want to bother anybody with disclosing all of this information, since I clearly have enough assets. It sucks that an officer would be that arbitrary to run over their own guidelines. I'll see what I can do! Thank you!

Hi, we just joined the forum and found ourselves a little like you.

1. Iham the Brazilian one, and I have a timeline pension that meets the limit required for self support. My husband, who is the USC, is retired from US SS and this increase our income. Besides, we own a house here in Brazil, which is more than 50% paid off and is worthy a good piece of the cake.

Well, should wr still need a joint sponsor??

By the way, we have not started our process yet, but we hope to get some help from you guys, to do the right thing on our own, spend the less as possible, and get at the end with everything ok and as soon as possible?

Any help? Thanks.
