Hi guys, been reading and snooping around the website for some answers and thought i'd post while I still look. I submitted my AOS package (with AOS, AP, and EAD applications) on August 17th, 3 weeks ago and received our NOA1 shortly after, however when I go to check my status with my case number on the USCIS Check Status link it comes up as an error. When I call the USCIS support line the automated voice system does not recognize my number either. Is/has anyone else having/had this issue? Is this just a wait it out situation? Is there a way I can bypass the automated system to talk to someone at the USCIS office?

TIA, Mike

It's a familiar thing on these forums I filled my AOS in July and my case numbers have only started working today (64 days since filing AOS) so it can take a little while before they start working, when I've spoken to USCIS on the phone they said it was a glitch and they will start working eventually.

You could call and ask to speak to a tier two who can see more information on your case than a tier 1 person, but it might still take a while for the numbers to work on the USCIS website, it's just a case of patience!

Yeah i've been doing some looking around and see that that is the general issue, it takes a while. How do I get through the automated voice? That thing is a dang PITA!! Also, how do I know that my NOA was for the 3 applications? Or does it say what its for right on it, maybe I missed that?

When you call USCIS press 1 followed by 2 2 2 as this gets you pass the automated voice and through to a proper person! The noa1s are called I-797C Notification of Action you should have 3 one for each case (AOS, Work Authorization and Advanced Parole) if you have applied for all 3 it says on each letter what they are for.

Hope that helps!

You should be mailed a receipt notice for all 3 forms. They will each have their own receipt numbers.

hmm I sent one package with three individual applications for the AOS, EAD, and AP... only received one NOA. I will have to find it and see what one it was for.
