DCF Moscow: I-130 Cover letter & letter of relationship for CR-1?

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of preparing all the documents for the I-30 for my husband.

On the Moscow Embassy website, I do not see anything about the necessity of a cover letter or a letter detailing the relationship.

Is it a good idea to write the cover letter and relationship letter anyway, if if they don't ask for it?

OK thanks, I figured it was probably better to have it regardless. Do you know if the cover letter has to be one page, or can it multiple pages?

I am unsure, but I have always kept mine to one page; keeps it simple. An introductory paragraph, then bulleted list of documents/items, then a closing paragraph thanking them. I think there are several examples others have posted on here.

It is USCIS that wants the cover letter / nothing to do with the moscow embassy at this point

OK thanks for the clarification!!

The cover letter can be as many pages as you want but you should be able to summarize everything on one page.

I know in theory it should all fit on one page, but having to write the Embassy's address as a header and my address as a footer takes up a lot of space so mine keeps going over one page. :/
