If you are under a Dr's care continue with the prescribed medicine, go to your sputum test, and let the SLEC Dr's do what they have to do. Discuss with them your case. There is nothing you need to do 24 hours before your appointment. In this process, everything works out better if you have patience and not worry. Just my tip.

I wish you God's speed.

You just attend the medical and they will also look over your TB case. If you are tested positive for tuberculosis, the US Consulate/Embassy requires you to complete the tb treatment at home/hospital in your country before they will issue your visa when you are testing negative for this disease. Your case will be reviewed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Georgia.

This is what I've heard at my medical when I mentioned I was treated for tuberculosis 21 years ago and worst case might was that they wanted to re-treat me again.

^ Apologies for what I stated. This happens in the Netherlands and does not count for the Philippines as of what I've been told.

I would not reschedule just yet. They will extend your visa application every four months.

On one hand I'm sorry you hit this speed bump and have to go through this medical regiment. But, on the other hand you get to LIVE to be married and have a family. God bless.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear that. I did same thing at Saint Luke's clinic too. Spot on my right lung, went sputum testing, all negative.

So now I'm here in Hawaii, all immigrants need to visit the public health department, so I did. Follow up check up for TB, undergo sputum testing again , after 17 days found out I'm TB positive. Immediately started medication for 6 months, be done by October.

Be thankful that it was detected and start your medication soon. Still alive, hope and pray for the best. God bless

You are completing the 6 month TB treatment through a private doctor? Once you are done and start your medical with St. Luke's odds are you will have to complete another 60 day SPUTUM testing there. Do bring copies of your medical records from your private doctor.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!
