The factual answer is "nobody knows for sure".  But having said that normally the process is 2 weeks. Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa your interview by a consular officer. Applicants are advised of this requirement when they apply. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of the visa interview. When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case. Your mileage may vary.

More patience is needed. Concentrate on getting ready, visiting friends and all the things you will need to put your life on hold in the Philippines and the excitement of what life will have in store for you once you arrive in the States.

Hi, i had my visa delivered last Jan. 18 and noticed that there is a typographical error with my name. I passed again my visa requirements via 2GO as per the employee on the embassy the following day. And they received it later in the afternoon. Upon Checking today January 25, the case status changed from ISSUED to READY. What does this mean? And How long is the turnaround time for a visa correction?

If it went from issued to ready give it a day or two and check 2GO status, most likely it will be delivered soon.

Did you complete CFO - PDOS ?

I have never seen it take months to correct a typo in a visa, a week, maybe two but not months.

Yes that is true with CFO-PDOS you will need more passport w/visa to even attend.

Hope all moves quickly for you.  :)

Hi Hank! Thank you for your help, ever since I started reading posts here about others inquiry or story, your comments are really helpful to me and everyone else. I really thank you for actively answering questions from those who have a lot of questions in mind.

Btw Hank, after completing my CFO, I’m good to go right? I just need to bring all the documents needed?

Yes.  Once you have the CFO sticker in your passport it is traveling time.

Keep the DO NOT OPEN envelope from the embassy in your carry-on bag as you will need it immediately at POE.   You keep the DS-3025 and the CD with your x-ray.
