I informed you and sarra at the same time she said she didn't get my msg till 2 hours later and was able to get her date.

Are you able to see that calender at the main page still or not?

I said 8am because my fiancee (In algeria) Used to use all her allowed attempts and at 2am Chicago time 8 am Algiers I use to notice a reset so I'm speaking with my experience I had with those limits

OMG I just scheduled an appointment alhamd! He will be so happy! It let me do it now I duno why!!! But i'm glad!

Thanks. I woke him up lol but it's worth it. okay so if I wanted to go on interview, I'd need him to go home and get another letter from city hall?? (he works far from home).. but they were arguing with him last time like they didn't want him to bring me there. I'm not sure if it was because of the incidents in january, I wasn't aware of them.

Can I ask why a family letter is needed for a simple tourist visa? does that mean no tourists are allowed to come if they don't have family in Algeria??

Yes he just need to go to a city hall where he resides take a residency papers with him and ask for an invitation to a fiancee .thats all he needs.

I'm not aware of any family letter that is required for a tourist visa.

Tourist visa require a hotel reservation .

Yes it was only a short time, I was prepared to call off work and sit here all night lol.

Okay so why can't I just get a tourist visa? I'm only going to be there overnight in a hotel. I don't see a reason to get a family visa if i'm not even going to be staying in his home (which is very far from embassy anyway).

personally i don't know how it works to get here ... i know it is not easy .. i will ask someone who did it and see how she got here to see her fiancée.

for now relax and enjoy your appointment !!

No no .. you should go throu Aministrative processing (AP). It took 10 to 15 days which is kinda of background check before the issue the visa.
