Visa Interview in Algeria

I got an Algerian visa in 3 days.very easy.

i would not think it would be that easy for everyone ... she will need an invitation letter and maybe more then 3 days to get it.

Hmm.. I thought the invitation letter was only for the family visa? I didn't read about needing one for the tourist visa.

it is a tourist visa for family purpose !

Hm that is not listed on our embassy. Now I am confused lol. http://www.algerianembassy.org/consular-affairs/tourist-visa.html It has family visa and tourism visa, but not a family tourism visa. I'm not legally family yet so I didn't think I qualify for the family visa.

I received an invitation .sent my passport. $160 money order ,pay stubs,a prepaid overnight envelope .sent it on a Monday morning.they received it tuesday,mailed it back to me the same day and got it Wed.

3 days only.jan.2016.

They have 2 years with multiple entries.

i saw somewhere you would need an invitation stating the purpose of the trip.

I chose a family based visa .thanks to my mom lol

All other nationalities I think for a non.us citizens could be other documents needed but that's all I sent them. 3 days only.but I was asked for that invitation at the airport by immigration.

Don't worry too much about the questions on the app .its really not that strict.

I could be wrong but if a fiancee sends you an invitation stating that you're a fiancee then it's considered a family not tourist.

He tried to get the invitation before**, but the city hall kept arguing with him that he didn't need it notarized and kept refusing to notarize it. Does it need to be notarized like it says on the family visa site? Can I just have a letter signed by him only? Thanks.

No .you do not need notarization because any city hall document should have a stamp on it and it's considered original .its shocking that you had this difficulties. I hope you didn't try to enter the country during some unrest .ad I mentioned I was there Jan this year.but it was a little difficulties at the airport because I was questioned about the invitation and where am I going to stay but never heard of a city hall issue. Remember city hall require residency or a house deed for the issuance of that document.

A letter could help but it's not an official document.

I guess he can explain it better once he's online. I wasn't the one going through that, he was. He just told me what happened after. Thanks for the info, though. Now I just have to wait until midnight for counter to reset.

You're always welcome.i would love to talk to him maybe he is not familiar with invitations and remember most city hall workers are not that familiar with foreigners asking for invitations.

Talking about interview dates I NEVER worried about it because all of the applicants are entitled to have a date,the important thing is to get approved.
