hey Rennee ... another profile will not work because you will use the same DS-160 ID. and calling will not help the only way to schedule is using the website.

just couple more hours and it will be rested it is 10pm now over here.

i saw dates till November and only Mondays ... so far the 24th is taken .... you may get a spot on 24 too or the 31...November also showed Mondays available.

Few hours? it's 8 hours until 8 am there lol that feels like eternity. Either way, i'll be at work (I work nights) so I can check while he is asleep. I guess I will check every hour.

We are both very upset that we missed the appointment scheduling, because we are under a time limit for different reasons for both of us. They need to remove the page viewing limit, it's silly. You won't know if an appointment is available without trying to view the calendar. Looking at the calendar should not use up an application try.

Honestly im furious, this is so unprofessional. Why do they make the visa process so complicated? They could just do a background check and stamp our passports. Instead they have months and sometimes years of red tape even for a simple tourist visa. It's ridiculous. :(

Thanks. So Raouf has been reading thread on here and other forums of some interviewers being racist (blonde lady?!) and others being requested for a co-sponsor even though they meet the income requirements. What are the chances of that happening, do you think? I've really been trying to find a co-sponsor just in case, but I can't find anyone who is willing/able to do it for me. It looks like I'm in this alone. We assumed it was to prove other people here knew about the marriage. so I was thinking of mailing a signed guest list to him and maybe they won't ask for a cosponsor?

I'm just rambling because i'm nervous lol. -Ren

Oh.. sorry sarra for hijacking your thread

i said couple hours because i thought they reset at midnight ..but since Adam has already experience it i understand waiting till morning is not going to be an easy fun time.

what happened happened no need to be upset about it and be mad because you guys missed it ... i understand and agree it doesn't make sense and it is not professional on how they do things...and we can not help it.

all i ask you to do is breath .. and as you said you have all night to check every hour till it open again.

wanna hear something even more stupid?? on my appointment confirmation it says .. i can not reschedule the appointment and if i do not show up on my day i will be able to have another appointment after 120 days

Oh.. sorry sarra for hijacking your thread

the blonde lady was in 2012 ... i saw the reviews about her and she used to deny people for no reason ... things are different now.

the cosponsor has nothing to do with people acknowledging your marriage or relationship .. it is related to finance part.

120 days? We could both be dead by then lol what if we got sick or hit by a bus or something? See, this is what I meant by unprofessional. What if you had an emergency and had to miss your appointment? Life has no guarantees. We are adults, so who are they to "punish" adults by making them wait? They are paid to serve the public, not treat them like children. I feel like we are dealing with prison guards, not public servants.

In my doctor's office, it's very busy. There are hundreds of patients. They have ONE receptionist making all the appointments and two doctors who see them all. When you call, you are put on hold until it's your turn to talk to her. She makes the appointment, which usually has a 1 month waiting list. After that, if you miss your appointment, you can stay in the office to see if anyone else didn't show up (walk ins). It's busy, but it's efficient and not cruel.

Now I know this visa center in Algiers has more than one employee dealing with the visas. Even if it didn't, only one is needed to open schedules, even with thousands of applicants. Checking the schedule roster for open dates and opening the calendar doesn't take a rocket scientist. It shouldn't take days to do it. And updating the website announcements so others aren't left in the dark as to when we are waiting, that doesn't take more than a few minutes. They can at least make the "estimated wait times" link work correctly, because whenever I try to use it, the page is invalid. Then the phone number to the embassy seems to be out of service, so we can't even call to ask questions related to the visa at all.

I think this lack of professionalism is what is making me personally much more impatient and worried. We are totally blind as to when anything will happen, if it will at all.

t is related to finance part.

So why are they asking people who meet requirements to get a cosponsor? That doesn't make sense

lol I'm sure he would not miss it for any reason at all. I am just praying that there are appointments left once it hits 8 am. I don't know how to relax for another 8-10 hours. That's about the time I go to work. I have nothing to do except sit here and worry until then :help:

im sure you will find dates ... about the cosponsor, do you really think you need one ?

assuming you are supporting your fiancée only and no one else the household is 2 the you need to prove to embassy that you make a minimum of 16,020 $/year and after marriage when filling AOS you need to prove to USCIS your income is more then 20,025$/year.

Yes, I make enough, but the other people posting sort of made us worry about it.

Do you know anyone who has gone through the visa process already?
