AOS (from K-1 status) Interview

We have recently received the notice of AOS interview. My wife cam here on a K-1 and had her medical exam for the Visa interview. She had a sealed envelope that she surrendered to the Immigration officer at the POE, that I believe had her medical exam in it. From the VJ AOS Guide it states for the I-693 "If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application.)"

I also see in the VJ Information on AOS that there is a USCIS policy letter that states that if a medical was summitted within the 1 year requirement and the process takes more than 1 year, another medical is not required even after 1 year has expired, until the application has been adjudicated. This letter expired in January 07.

The notice of AOS interview, the first item listed to bring to the interview is the I-693, and I-693A, Vaccination Supplement, if not already submitted. We did not submit the I-693A with the AOS Application, so we plant to bring that with us to the interview.

I want to verify that I do not need to get another medical exam and bring a I-693, Medical Exam tom the interview???

That would be my assumption. I would just take the I-693A Vaccination Supplement to the interview with you.

As long as you applied for AOS within one year of the K-1 Visa interview, another medical exam should not be necessary.
