Would a wedding in Indonesia cause a K1 to get rejected?

Hello, I am a US citizen and my fiancee is an Indonesian citizen. If we were to get married in Indonesia, could I still submit for the K1 from the US? Does the USCIS look into whether there was a wedding abroad? And what about when it comes time for her interview, would the US embassy in Jakarta be aware of the wedding? Thank you for the help.

Really? Married is married thus defeating the purpose of a fiancée visa.

Get married and file I-130 petition.

You can't do a K-1 if you are already married. You can do a K-1 and marry her in the USA. Or Get married in Indonesia and file a spousal visa.

ok thank you for the info. I'm aware that it sounds like a dumb question. I am curious about whether the wedding is reported to the US and or the US embassy in Jakarta. If it is not, then the K1 would still work.

Should they find out and you try and sneak this marriage past them your intended could be slapped with material misrepresentation as the fact that you are married would be a reason to deny the visa. She would then be given a lifetime ban from the us. Even if they find out once she is in the us and you are doing the aos they can do this, people have had their citizenship stripped if they find the original visa was given out based on a lie.

They suspected my husband and I were already married based solely on photos from someone else's wedding we attended, had to threaten them with the people whose wedding we attended' marriage certificate before they would back off.
