I-485 approved, but I am worried because it was too fast?

My (now) wife arrived March 27, 2016 from Philippines

Married April 29

I485 and I765 sent June 9

Biometrics July 20

Employment card received September 1

All of this seems to be consistent with the timelines I've seen here

BUT today we received in the mail the I-485 approval letter and it says the Permanent Resident Card will be mailed within 3 weeks.

I was expecting the time frame from EAD to Green Card to last 6 months to a year.

Did we win the Green Card lottery? no interview and near immediate approval / or is this normal

OR do I need to worry that this was a mistake?

Your wife came on a K1 visa, and you were not ask for an interview (most K1 don't) hence the greencard approval notice. Congrats and enjoy your new journey

PD 04/04/2016 (official day: day 1)
04/14/2016 received NOA1's hard copies. (day 11)

05/09/2016 biometrics appointment at 10AM (day 36)

If the green card was approved without interview in a timely manner, then I am not sure what there is for you to be worried about. Watch your mail for the welcome letter and card to arrive.

No interview is normal for K1s, but the timeframe you got lucky with- nothing to worry about, perhaps you got a fast officer and were at the top of a big box of papers, or perhaps your case was puller out to teach new officers and thus got processed super fast.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Green Card arrived in the mail yesterday. Thank you all. I have to admit, all things considered it wasn't as hard as I was expecting. basically took one year from the date the i-129 was filed to getting the green card. Excited and relieved

my ead took 75 days to approve andi-485 took 77 days to approve application was sent 06/09/16 so excited for all of you
