So, we have been married for over 2 years and submitted our 751 with evidence, and got the dreaded I 797e ! What I am gathering from reading other posts is that this may be a somewhat common thing. I also gathered that if anything, it triggers another interview, and doesn't mean my wife of 2 years has to leave the country. Someone correct me if I am wrong on that one.

What my question is, is this. I own my home outright, and it is just in my name. Would it make sense to do a quitclaim deed and put it in both of our names, before we send the paperwork into the Visa center? Or, would they see that it has just been changed, and it would trigger more suspicion? Maybe I am overthinking this, but, thought all of our ducks were in a row for the first 2 year green card. Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know if that would help or not, BUT, if you do end up wanting to create a quitclaim deed (or perhaps a warranty deed), make sure you check with your mortgage lender first! Sometimes they will require that the loan be paid in full when you do that, which is obviously not good. I hope your situation improves! That must be very frustrating :(

Thanks for the replies ! Yes, the home is mine, free and clear. I have always intended to add her name to it, but, just one of those things you don't think is that important. I submitted taxes for only one year, which I am going to add the second year. We don't have joint bank accounts, but I only gave them one month statement from her bank account. They did mention that in the letter. We will get copies for a year and a half.

I am adding copies of her work check statements, that show our address. And will add letters from friends, as well as the church pastor where we have been attending since she got here. They also have a book at the church each year, with our picture and names in it. I will add that.

I also called the credit card company and they are sending a letter in indicating when her name was added to my cards.

The cruise line sent a link of our ittinerary from the cruise we went on last year, which shows our names. Cant think of much else except pictures.

From my research, that is true. It also says on the RFE letter that sufficient documentary evidence will be the basis of waiving the interview. So next step is approval or interview. Never heard of anyone getting rejected after sending RFE.
