Our approved petition arrived at the NVC on August 23 and we were assigned a case number on August 24. I was under the impression that petitions leave the NVC very quickly, but the CEAC website says our petition is still at the NVC. I called yesterday to update my fiance's email address and confirm that the CEAC info was correct, and I was told, yes, the petition is still at the NVC and to call back at the end of next week.

I know I shouldn't worry, but I do anyways. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi

My K-1 took about 3 weeks to leave NVC. From what I understand this is average timing. Compared to the rest of the process it is quick :) Hope this helps

Lucky. Our petition was only at NVC for one day so we didn't have time to call them and add my email address. They were too fast in our case.

Happened to plenty of other people. I am one of them. Most petitions skip through there, but that isn't always the case. There is an entire thread, in the NVC forum, two if you include the first thread that was locked due to it's size.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
