I went to my interview in montreal yesterday. My interview result was approved, however as the officer was handing me my Welcome To The United States paper, he noticed something on my Intent to Marry. The date was expired 15 days past the 90 day rule. He told me to have my fiancé mail me a new signed paper and for me to mail that along with my passport to the Consulate. From there it will process and I will be issued my visa. I Was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and approximately how long it takes? I should have everything to them by Friday (Sept. 2nd) Thanks in advance!

It happens. You will be in AP until they get your paper. They took your passport so that is a good sign. Just get them what they wanted and you should be fine. A minor delay.

What is AP? Do people in that section get processed fast? Our wedding is scheduled for October 8th and I'm worried I won't be back there in time.

Administrative Processing. AP can be 1-2 Days for an approved Visa and a good Embassy or up to months for new information required, additional checks or a bad Embassy. It's why it's recommended that people don't make any job quitting, flights or wedding dates until they actually have a visa in hand. I'm sorry to hear that you scheduled a wedding and stressing out about it.

My paper and passport were delivered today and I checked on my case status and it said it was last updated today, however It still says Administrative Processing. Is it a good sign that the case was updated?

Thanks for sharing this info. It is very encouraging and helpful my fiance went for interview on Aug 29 and it is in AP processing and yes it is very frustrating because you are just waiting and they don't update the status regularly it has not been updated since Sept 2. The Embassy doesn't give you any info when you email or try to call
