So I saw 3 N/As on the CEAC website on saturday, but since it is labor day today, I will call them tomorrow and confirm on case complete, which I am hoping they are. But I am sharing my experience since I got this in a month without a checklist.

Here are some things I did to help me with this.

1. I didn't use a lawyer at all. I did all of the work myself, which includes all the research and help from people here and other places.

2. I put IV documents in one manila envelope and the AOS documents in the other manila envelope and then i put both envelopes in one big envelope and then sent it.

3. I put both types of documents in the transparent folder divider (you know the one we put in a binder that you can slide a sheet that you do not want to punch hole in). I clipped the documents based on similarities, for example if I was sending marriage certificate and translated marriage documents, i paper clipped them or stapled them. I put the AOS documents under one paperclip along with the form. I clipped the whole sheet (AOS document sheet) with binder clip.

4. I also put the Case number on the back of each sheet in addition to the front of it.

5. Another thing I did was that I wrote explanations for my relationship with my brother, explanation for why i wasn't working, explanation for why the current income was different from last years income (which included paystubs and that the job is new).

6. I checked twice for AOS forms.

That was what I did.

I have a quick question. What is a scan date and how do I get that? I sent all my civil and financial documents to nvc on the 18th of August. Should I call and ask them if they have received them or should I just wait?

Just call them up and ask for scan date, they will tell you.. don't panic on calling them its your work to call them and its there work to tell you when they received and scanned it.. and from that scan date it will take them 6 weeks or less to review your documents. :)

Been calling them sis at least twice a week. Will call again later. I already contacted the US embassy here BTW and they said that they would really need our NVC case number which means NOA2 isn't enough. Can't start with my PCC without the case number

As soon as you pay AOS fees. You don't have to wait for it to be processed.
