Thanks Karla. I can't wait. I want to go home. I'm living abroad with my wife until she can come back with me. I've been abroad four years. I started the application in December of last year! I didn't know it would take so long. But, I guess you're right. We're both almost there.

Is sweet you're waiting for your wife. We started the application on October 2015. I live alone with our little baby (today is 10 months) in Mexico because my husband is working and waiting for us in USA, he comes every 2 weekends. Sometimes he drives 5 hours to come to see us and I'm very frustrated that he can't see our lil one growing every day. Is very sad that our cases are not reviewed yet. Because as you said some people with scan dates after us already has it. And I'm happy for them but is something that I can't find a reason. And sometimes I feel like is never going to end.. Blessings

I have a question that I hopes you folks can help me answer. When I recieved my NOA2 it said my case has been sent to NVC.

However reading people's post here it looks like you get a different message when USCIS ACTUALLY sends your case on to NVC? Is that the case?

Those of you that got a second notification telling you that your case was sent to NVC did you also have on your NOA2 that your case has been sent to NVC?

POTOMAC isn't updating the website or sending email/text notifications my case still says case received even though I got the NOA2 in the mail 2 weeks ago.

same here, 2 weeks already. we havent received email or updates from USCIS that stating they sent already. When we asked NVC they always reply that we should wait for 30 days.

I know, it's so frustrating. If people after us have been getting case complete very fast, why are ours being skipped or held up by NVC making errors? We all paid the same amount for this "service".

I have a question. We got our interview letter for my husband. We want to get our medical review done however his passport is required. His passport will expire April 2017. Should we renew his passport now before the review and interview?

Please tell me what should I do?

I would get the passport first. Take into account that you will need the passport anyway, and renewing a passport through an embassy or consulate is usually not only more expensive, but can also involve quite some traveling, depending on where the consulate / embassy is in relation to your place. That alone would make me get the passport first. But: Check how long it takes to get the new passport as well!

Rooji, I have a couple of questions regarding your case as my wife is in Pakistan and she got i130 approved a few days ago. Do you think its possible that her interview can be sometime in November end? ( 12 weeks from now) ? It seems like NVC concluded yours quite fast

His passport is Pakistani so he can get it in any city. Plus it takes a month to renew on regular fee however it is more expensive if you need it in 10 days. We have scheduled his medical for Oct 3 for now so let's see.

I am not sure if u have looked at my time line but I will give you a short version.

After my i130 was approved it took 2 weeks to reach nvc and 2 more weeks to assign a case number. then it took me a week and half to take care of everything and send it. It made total of a month and half to take care of things from uscis to nvc from my end. It took them a month to review and clear it. They scheduled my interview quickly but a month after from the day it was case complete. So I doubt your wife will have interview in November if everything goes smoothly. I predict December or Jan at this point for u.

My recommendation would be to not worry about the interview at this point and focus on nvc because this part is very important. If you miss one document or make mistake on your aos you will be pushed back by 60 days.

I have posted my experience at this stage on how I sent my documents. You can msg me if you want to find out.
