While filing for financial support documents if my wife the sponsor is residing here in india then do we need to submit her countey domicile of proof.

And yeah as i read on NvC website does the joint sponser need to write and sign a letter to prove the relationship with the sponsor?

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Your wife needs to submit evidence of her intention to re-establish domicile in the USA.

You don't need to prove the relationship between the joint sponsor and the sponsor because the joint sponsor can be anyone - does not have to for related to you. Must be a US citizen or LPR residing in the USA. Proof of relationship is only required when sponsors are combining income with household members.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

So i ran to the post office and sent it again. I'm hoping for a quick CC after they receive my documents. (one can only hope right)

Anyone have a fast CC after submitting missing documents ?

I'm on my third week waiting for it

Timeline

NVC has been really cold to me the last two times I've called... I called yesterday because I'd been told a supervisor was supposed to call me back when one wasn't available (from what I've read here, a supervisor NEVER calls back) and the rep was like, "they'll call you back when they have some news for you", which is not what the previous person told me (that a supervisor would call me so I could explain the problem). I'm going to wait another week to call if I don't see 3 N/As--I'm afraid I'll hamper the case somehow, even though I also feel like by just letting it go, they aren't going to do anything at all. If I don't hear anything by six weeks I'm going to write my senator, although I know NVC would just say I have to wait for six weeks after supervisor review.

I really wish everyone there wasn't so casual about the fact that I'm being penalized for a mistake made at NVC, not by me!

I did send an email also; I saw that someone else in a similar situation filed for an expedite recently and it was granted, but at this point I'm afraid to do anything that might end up restarting the six week clock again.

Yea, i called to make sure they received everything, and the NVC employee told me that they were missing my husbands birth certificate and our marriage certificate. so i ran to the post office and sent those documents again. the funny thing is submitted those documents the first time in Spanish and English, magically they were not received with the rest of the packet.

I'm just hoping for a fast CC after its received. * Fingers Crossed

Is any one sending any extra evidence to the Nvc

Do you mean sending more evidence of your relationship? Although you could if you really wanted to, it's not necessary to send more to NVC as they only look for the completeness of the case file (i.e. paperwork is correctly filled out, and civil documents are complete). I think it's better to just bring your additional evidence to the interview, as some COs ask for them.

About everyone I know going through Ghana and Nigeria has done it. Especially if a trip happened after filing. Or things forgotten.
