Can you get a CC on the weekends, and holidays.

I've seen a few people get a CC on a weekend, but I doubt anyone will get any this weekend just because it's Labor day weekend. NVC doesn't work on holidays.

USCIS Process:
Sent I-130 (via USPS): February 20, 2016
NOA1 hardcopy received: February 26, 2016
NOA2 approval text & email: May 6, 2016 (71 days from NOA1)
Petition sent to NVC text & email: May 11, 2016

NVC doesn't work on weekends nor holidays. The system just simply delayed updating so those persons think they got CC on a wknd. I saw one person who didn't get the 3rd N/A on Friday and Saturday. Then on Sunday they saw it. When they called Monday to confirm it was indeed completed on Friday.

*Was too late to edit my prior post:

Another way to view that number is by going to the DS-260 page where the IV application was filled out and click on "sign" at the top of the page. Then you see two barcodes at the bottom of that page the left is the case number the other barcode has the DS-260 confirmation number.

That's what I thought but just wanted to double check! Thx!!

Oh wow! Really, just 3-5 days? You think they will send my documents to the embassy that quick being that my interview date is not til Oct. 3rd?

Thank you for your reply and Congratulations on finally reaching the end of this journey. I pray that everyone here including myself a quick and easy process no matter which step your in.

It only takes 3 to 5 days to send to embassy from "In Transit" to "READY" usually. So just keep watching. In are in transit so you are already shipped to embassy.

I think this is your casefile in this package. Will be at embassy Wednesday. It's taking the scenic tour. LOL

Silly question. My case status at NVC has not changed. Am I suppose to see the status change as it goes from case complete through the interview scheduling process? I gave up on the darned site since it always says "At NVC". Is the another site to check status?

In the 1st post on this thread shows all the different status. But it stays at "At NVC" until you are assigned a interview and your casefile sent to embassy (usually 3 to 4 weeks before interview). Then you see "In Transit". Then when it arrives and embassy scans in it changes to "READY" and you see Case Status date.

Unfortunately Ghana s about a 3 month wait after Case Complete. So just hang on. Maybe November you will get a date

It happens. Yes. Doesn't mean they are working but they do run batch jobs and updates happen all though the weekend at times.

Blood and urine sample, xrays, overall physical and then shots based on history and how you answered the questions.

Thank you! I read through the post but obviously missed that one link. I read through the link and appreciated all of the information there. Thanks to everyone that adds info on VJ - this is a great resource.

7/05/16 - Case was sent to The Department of State

7/25/16 - Received case #

7/26/16 - Received bills

7/28/16 - Paid bills

8/02/16 - DS-260 complete

8/04/16 - Scan Date

8/30/16 - NVC "Case Complete"

9/28/16 - Received interview date - 11/7/16

10/12/16 - Medical exam

10/17/16 - Received medical exam results

11/7/16 - Interview scheduled
