is there any website to check about my case? because i filled a petetion for my wife and daugther when i was greencard holder. and then i just became a citizen last month. aug 26.. i already send my naturalization certificate to them..

Oh you have probably a few months it takes about 8 weeks to upgrade. You first need to see if you truly have case complete. The email you show is just your scan date email.

Call NVC they will ask for Petitioners and beneficiaries full name and date of birth and your case#.

Be sure to verify they have your nationalization documents.

There is no way to know if a particular package is YOUR file. There are hundreds of cases shipped daily. Just because you saw one from Boston to your Embassy two weeks ago, there's no way to know if it is yours. It's just a guess.

I can say with 99.99% accuracy that the case you found was NOT your case. When your case status changes to "IN TRANSIT", it may not physically leave the NVC for up to three days after the status change. That's why you have to play with the dates and "guesstimate".

If your date changed to "IN TRANSIT" on September 28th, you should check the dates of the 28th, 29th and 30th (if they are weekdays). Do not check on dates PRIOR to that. It will not be your file.

And...even though you find a file within those dates (and you might find LOTS of shipments) there is no way to know the specific waybill for your file.

Your package will say "IN TRANSIT" until the Embassy scans in your file. In some countries, the place where the mail is delivered is in a totally different building from the embassy - and it takes a day to get there.

Good luck. Remember - there are packages for all sorts of visas being sent - not just IR-1/CR-1.

Thank u...but I enter many date before I actually enter the date I received interview date and it shows. And I don't think is busy embassy...Barbados

How can someone track application from nvc to embassy when on transit on ceac?

Once your status changes to In Transit in about 3 to 5 days should change to READY.That means its at the embassy.

I got it...u are a genius...it was delivered 2 weeks ago and ceac still says in transit...why?

The thing with the tracking is no way to know if that's your package. That's why I had removed how to track. K1's also are in that bundle and other petitions.

Is there a reason you need to know when it arrives? If asking for a different interview time just email the embassy.

Cograts to all those getting interview dates. To those who have already interview, and I know its been asked, but do we have to register prior to being interviewed online. I saw the following on NVC. If so, whose name should we put the beneficiary or petitioner?

Step 2: Register for Courier Service/Other Pre-Interview Instructions

Many U.S. Embassies and Consulates require visa applicants to pre-register for courier services. This service is for returning applicant passports and visas to them after the interview. Each consular section also has unique entry and security requirements, including whether applicants can bring cell phones into the embassy or consulate. Before your interview, read the specific requirements for where you will be interviewed. Select the city of the U.S. Embassy or Consulate from the box below:
