quick question when do you get the A number so you can pay the greencard fee and when can you pay it????

    6/7/2016 Didn’t get case number so case went to supervisor look *****(new time frame is 2 weeks to get your case and invoice number form NVC.)

    6/9/2016 Case Number and Invoice number received

    6/10/2016 Form DS-261 Received

    6/10/2016 Form DS-261 Sent

    6/14/2016 AOS BILL INVOICED

    6/14/2016 AOS BILL PAID

    6/16/2016 IV BILL Assigned

    6/17/2016 IV BILL PAID

    6/17/2016 IV and AOS packet arrived at NVC

    6/17/2016 Scan Date

    6/20/2016 DS-260 SENT

    6/22/2016 Confirmation that they received the packet

I had my interview at Lagos Embassy on the 15th of September 2016. I was told to pickup my Visa in In 10 working days which is gonna be on Thursday. Do i wait for text message from the DSS collection centre that my Visa is ready for pickup or i should just go to their office. To avoid wasting money, someone from Nigeria should just share their experience with me. Thanks in anticipation

Just go it maybe ready now for pickup.Go or call if you can. They are not consistent with the email.I know of one person in the last year that got email notice in Lagos.

I Just want to take this opportunity to thank the VJ community for your great support that I have received while going through this process, didn't know much when I started this process in January of 2016 & now looking back....am grateful for all the help I got while making the petition for my spouse.

To finally spent time with my spouse in our home is so much of greater joy that I've missed for 8 month plus.....

For those waiting for the interview date's & approval God is faithful.

A# is assigned when Visa is issued.It is the registration number on Visa. So once you pick up your Visa package you are free to pay before you leave or after you arrive.

I called NVC to ask when is the interview date ( CC 9/9/16 ), they have said they will be scheduling for Nov this week so call them again today or any one of day's in this week to find out the date. ( Mumbai embassy ) I will call them tomorrow or maybe next day and see if I get a date..

What does it means ready for the interview in the case status?

It's completed and waiting for them to schedule an Interview.. which site you have checked it?

I mean i know sorry i meant to say i have done with the interview already and it was under administrative process till today. I mailed the embassy today after a week and they changed my status from AP to ready again:!!

You mail them something week ago? then it sounds like they are done reviewing whatever you send them, best thing to do is give them a call and ask them about the status but from what it sounds like they are done reviewing the documents, the status on there site change often so.. Best thing is call them.

Sorry for misleading information i have provided.

Heres the story:

My case was completed last Tuesday,20th September at Montreal embassy in canada. There was some misprint on my medical document and the officer who took my interview told me that it will take couple days. I waited a week but it was showing AP. So i e-mailed them today to know my case status and if they could fasten my process. They replied me back stating that i shall get my passport back in few days. After all this i checked the ceac website again to check the status and now it shows READY for interview again!

My question is how it is possible and what does ready again means?

The status goes usually READY==> AP ==> READY==> ISSUED

Probably in a day or 2 should say Issued.
