Hey guys I need a suggestion,

I am USC petitioner and my wife Indian citizen is beneficiary. She is scheduled for an interview on October 14th. I will be moving out of my current apartment at the end of this month (September). My question is should we report the change of address to NVC or US Consulate directly on the interview day?

Thank you.

Harry13, do visit: https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/uscis-immigrant-fee

It tells you what I have pasted below about change of address. Please visit the site for more information.

· USCIS will only mail your Green Card to the U.S. mailing address you provide to the Department of State at the time of your immigrant visa interview or to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer when you are admitted to the United States. If you plan on living at a different U.S. address immediately after you enter the United States, please give that address to the CBP officer to ensure that your card arrives at your new home.

· If you move after you arrive in the United States and do not receive your card within 120 days, please update your address with USCIS by visitingwww.uscis.gov/addresschange or by contacting the Customer Contact Center. Also, we recommend that you update your address with the U.S. Postal Service by visiting your local U.S. post office or online at www.usps.com/umove.

· If you have a problem paying the USCIS Immigrant Fee, contact us athttps://my.uscis.gov/account/needhelp.

· If you do not receive your card within 120 days, you can submit an inquiry online at www.uscis.gov/e-request.

Its been 2 days and my status still shows under administrative process. I don't know what's going on

Hey, Krutarth! Looks like they let you interview in Canada! Yeah!

It might be taking a little longer for you since it appears you have a slightly-different-from-normal case. But your status will show AP until they have printed your visa foil and applied it to your passport. Sometimes that happens right away, and sometimes they might have a problem with the machine, or they have run out of the official visa foils, etc.

Hopefully you will hear something early next week! Best of luck!

Oh yes they did finally let me. But you have no idea what i had to go through. Anyways the officer told me that there was some printing mistake on my medical and as its offices fault, they will fix it up in couple days as well as the have to check the my criminal background in canada. And when i asked how long will all these take? He said only 2 days and another day to put your visa. U shall get the visa within a week or two just check the status on ceac site.

Thanks for the support but there was some problem in printing in my medical documents from the office. And the officer told me that it will take two days only. And i just checked and they have updated the date only, 21st September

Since we are about to enter the last week of the month and that is usually the time when NVC starts to schedule interviews for those with "case complete" and are on the waiting list. Has anybody been following previous months development on this and especially are they still sending out interview letters the same day?

--

How long after Case Complete will I get an interview?
2 last days of the month and finishing that following first week of next month.

Do I have to call for my interview date?
NVC has improved greatly since March. The interview letter now comes day of schedule.

--

Just starting to get excited for the WHEN answer... :content:
