Awesome!!! Omg that's exciting!

Can't wait until my husband and I get to that part!!!

Interview will be in almost a month!!

Now, I'm really wondering what I should do, the interview will be on a Thursday, I don't know if it will be ready by the next day or after that weekend.

Anyway, good luck to both of you!!! <3

It's he coming right away with you? Awesome, mine is just fixing all his stuff first, good luck with you too' ❤️

Hello all!

Been MIA for a couple of months after hubby's interview. Stayed with him in Canada for a couple of months before I had to go back to the US. Congrats to everyone that's been approved and finally getting their interviews!

Update regarding our case:

Interview was June 23, 2016.

MENA'd at interview (request for additional documentation because husband is from Iran and studying engineering in Canada).

Sent additional documentation June 29, 2016.

Finally got a request from the consulate for husband to send his passport!!! Can only hope this means we're done with Administrative processing as 1) the CO said they won't ask for it until they're ready to issue it and 2) why else would they ask for it?

Hubby sent his passport yesterday and Canada Post shows it's out for delivery to the consulate today. Not sure how long it will take them to actually issue it, assuming they're issuing it. Tried searching to find information on how long it takes to issue a visa when the consulate requests it sent to them by mail and haven't found anything useful (or recent). They say to allow 2 weeks when you're approved the same day as your interview, so here's hoping. Won't breathe easy until he has his passport back and he's crossed the border.

Good luck to all those waiting!

Hey Barb,

That is great news!! Hopefully your hubby gets APPROVED and his passport back with the visa so that you both can finally be together and not suffer any longer thru this hell of a visa journey. You both deserve every ounce of happiness and the group of us who had interviews/case completed/approvals around the same time frame as you can attest to the fact of how long you and hubby had to wait. I know what it felt like to be in AP and I would never wish it on anyone.

All the best of luck my dear! :goofy:

Hey guys I need a suggestion,

I am USC petitioner and my wife Indian citizen is beneficiary. She is scheduled for an interview on October 14th. I will be moving out of my current apartment at the end of this month (September). My question is should we report the change of address to NVC or US Consulate directly on the interview day?

Thank you.

Hi,

I did not see anyone reply to your query so I'll try to help. :)

Your change of address can be updated through NVC. So here's what I recommend:

1. Move where you need to.

2. Send an email to NVC at nvcinquiry@state.gov with the subject: CHANGE OF ADDRESS. Provide the NVC case #, the petitioner and applicant's names and dates of birth as well as the new address.

3. Call them the following day to confirm that they have received your email with this change. Please note they are open Mon through Fri from 7am to midnight (EST) except for celebrated holidays.

Best of luck to your spouse at the interview also! :D

I am EB1. Most here on this forum are family based immigration so you wont find much information. At least the IR-1/CR-1 applicants are similar in the NVC path regarding the logistics. NVC has not yet started scheduling the next round of interviews. They will do so probably starting next week. Have you called them to find out if you are on the waiting list since your CC was a while ago? Unfortunately Mumbai and India is one of the busiest places, so it might take a while.

Hi Goblin,

Anytime I call them they tell that i am waiting for a visa appointment date, but how do I get confirmation that I am on the waiting list. Please let me know. Is your visa consulate Mumbai as well for EB1? How long have you been waiting? Is your case complete. My application is a follow to join. Please let me know.

interview is done. questions were easy but still under administrative processing. they need me to submit a I864a of my dad and mom.

I sent My I864 together with my dad's I864 and my moms I864a to the nvc last may 2016.

From what I understand before I needed to fill up the I864 if i am the sponsor and another I864 for my father if he is my joint sponsor. I864a for my mother because she is part of father's household because they filed taxes together.

The lady from the releasing window told me that my dad needed to fill up the I864a not the I864 because we live in the same household even when we don't file our taxes together...???

if i only knewww... i hope the AP won't be that long...anyone went through Ap before? and how long did it take?

Sorry for your delay. Weird since a joint sponsor even a household member can fill out either. Oh well hope its resolved soon.

My question is should we report the change of address to NVC or US Consulate directly on the interview day?

Thank you.

Do not bother with NVC. ts very important at interview to change your address. NVC has nothing to do with it. This address is where your SS card and green card will go. Also at POE verify that the changed address is in the database correctly. My husband had t

o do this at interview and POE. Also be sure to go to USCIS.gov and update your change of address so its all matching.

Again forget NVC they do not matter. Your case isn't even with them.
