Even though my case is complete and I have an interview date, whenever I check the status on the ceac.state.gov website, it still says "At NVC".

Am I the only one??

NVC usually doesn't send your case file to the embassy until 4wks before your interview. You'll know they sent it when you check on the CEAC case tracker and it says "in transit."

Its has been 49 days from my check list scan date and still no CC, when do you think ill get one?

Oh my, 49 days? Have you called NVC and asked for the status of your case? Tell them you've been waiting for over the 6wk time period.

I have a couple of questions. I have been following this thread for a while and don't know if there is a different thread I should post these questions in, but I know a few people here might have the Answers...

My mom's case was approved, she already had her interview, already entered in the US, has been here since August 28th.

We got her Social Security Number in the mail on Friday September 9th.

My questions are:

1. Regarding the Social Security Number Card. Her name was not complete. For example, if her name was to be:

JENNIFFER_NATALLIE

JOHNSON_WILLIAMS

Her name actually appears as:

JENNIFFER_NATALL

JOHNSON_WILLIAMS

Her middle name is missing the last two letters. Has anyone else had this happen? I researched online and saw something about there being a limited amount of characters available in the card. However, what I found was that there were 26 available characters (including spaces) PER LINE. My mom's actual name + space + middle name is 18 characters long. Her actual last names are lastname1 + space + lastname2 are 16 characters long and they were not cut off. Does anyone know what this is all about?

2. Green Card Status. How do I track it?. I logged in with my same account that I used to log in to USCIS when I initially applied for the I-130 to track that then, then I entered the USCIS Receipt number that I got when I paid the $165 Green Card Fee online (it was a receipt number that began with IOE letters), and nothing comes up when I check that receipt number. Is it too early to check? how else can I check? Am I logging in with the wrong information? I payed it on Payment Date: Jul 11, 2016

3. Regarding OBAMACARE. I know my mom is required by law, like everyone else living legally in the US, to be insured, otherwise she will get a penalty when she does her taxes next year. The question is... when does she need to sign up? If I don't have the physical green card yet, can I sign up? I tried to signup on HealthCare.gov, but it said it couldn't find her information (i used her social security number which we just got last friday). If she is required to sign up by law, is there a grace period for people who just got here? like how long after you arrived until you have to signup before you get penalized?

Is there a better thread where I should post this, for people who are already in the states and have similar issues on what to do next and how to do it?

Unfortunately, according to the NVC, cases put under Supervisor review can take up to an additional "42 days" to review. Have you tried asking to speak to an actual Supervisor when you call NVC? If they reach the 42 day mark again it's best to get your senator involved... but until then, the only thing you can really do is wait.

As of 09/13/16 7 days til husband's medical and 20 days til interview. The days are going by far. I think I am more nervous for him then he is but at the same time excited for an approval.

Why was your case sent to supervisor review? As an above poster says, once it's sent for supervisor review they start the clock over again. Mine was sent like that when I called to check on it after four weeks, without the call rep informing me it would cause more delays.

If you call again they are probably going to tell you, as they tell me, that there's nothing they can do about it until another six weeks have passed. They've been real jerks about it. One person said she'd asked a supervisor to call me but of course I've never heard anything. The next person said a supervisor would never call me until my case was finished, and no, I couldn't speak to a supervisor.

I call them today too and Friday but they haven't said anything about checklist I just got email about 2015 w-2 saying its low income what a joke? Income is over 100K... but yet they said my case was completed on call both times.. I will try to call them tomorrow and find out if this checklist have any mean to it..

I went thru the same situation. My case somehow ended up at supervisor's review, which took about 50 days to finish the review. So if you check my signature, my CC was back in April, and I got my interview date in August for no good reason. Anyway, best of luck to you. I hope you get your interview date soon!

I had my interview today and am super confused. He didn't say approved exactly, but told me I would get everything in the mail in a few days. Does that mean it's approved? The status on CEAC just changed to AP. I was a nervous wreck before, during and after the interview, although it didn't take long. All in all, I was there for maybe an hour?!

Congratulations. O have updated you. No need to conform when they sent. Packages are sent out usually 3 to 4 weeks before interview. Just monitor your Visa track status.
